 Ali Zitouni once again scored twice for Esperance |
Esperance of Tunisia continued their winning ways in Group B of the Champions League by beating USMA of Algeria 2-1. The victory at the El Menzah stadium in Tunis means that Esperance now have a maximum nine points from their three games so far.
Ali Zitouni was once again the hero for Esperance scoring both his sides goals, the first after 23 minutes and the second in the 67th.
It was Zitouni's third two goal haul in the champions league this season, after scoring twice against both SuperSport and Jeanne d'Arc.
USMA, who reached the semi-finals last year, had drawn level in the 57th minute with a strike from Bilal Dziri.
The result leaves USMA with just three points from their opening three matches in Group B.
The two sides meet again in the next round of matches in Algeria on 10 September.
