Cech suffered a calf injury against Inter Milan on Wednesday
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has, as expected, been omitted from the Czech Republic squad to face Scotland following his Champions League injury.
Cech was carried off during Wednesday's 2-1 defeat away to Inter Milan.
Former Hearts striker Roman Bednar, now with West Brom, and Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky are the two British-based players in the 18-man squad.
Schalke's 20-year-old midfielder, Jan Moravek, is the only newcomer to the squad for Wednesday's game in Glasgow.
Larissa midfielder Rudi Skacel is another of national head coach Michal Bilek's squad who will be well known to Scottish fans, having previously played for Hearts on loan from Olympique Marseille before moving to Southampton.
Bednar, Rosicky and Drobny could face Scotland at Hampden
Despite the loss of Cech to a calf injury, Bilek has named only two goalkeepers, both of whom had unsuccessful spells in English football.
Hertha Berlin 30-year-old Jaroslav Drobny, who has two caps, spent time with Fulham and Ipswich Town without making a competitive first-team appearance before heading for the German Bundesliga club.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Michal Danek has been with Czech side Viktoria Pilsen since 2006 but had seven months on loan to West Brom in 2008 without playing for the first-team.
The previous year, Danek, who is as yet uncapped, claimed that Celtic were interested in his signature, although that was played down by the Scottish Premier League club's manager, Gordon Strachan.
At that time, Danek was also being linked with Norwich City and AEK Athens.
Wednesday's game against Scotland at Hampden Park is a dress rehearsal for matches between the sides in the forthcoming Euro 2012 campaign.
The friendly had already been organised before the Czechs and Scots were drawn together in qualifying Group I along with defending champions Spain, Lithuania and Liechtenstein.
Scotland play in the Czech Republic on Friday 8 October, with the return group match on Saturday 3 September 2011.
