England's women were bowled out for a paltry 223 on day one of the first women's Test against India at Grace Road as Jhulan Goswami took 3-46.
Six of the home team's batsmen were lbw with only Sussex's Caroline Atkins (73) showing much in the way of defiance.
She put on 93 with Beth Morgan after Rosalie Birch's duck had left England on 94-6 after winning the toss.
In reply, India were 11-1 at stumps with Katherine Brunt striking for the seventh lbw of the day's play.
