Although perhaps less charismatic than the faster pacemen Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan is a wily seamer and prolific wicket-taker.

He swings the ball prodigiously in the air and has a well disguised slower ball, qualities that have seen him capture 89 County Championship wickets in two seasons for Sussex.

Injuries hampered his progress for both county and country in 2006 but he returned to claim 4-43 in the recent home series against the West Indies.
