Malik was first reported in Sharjah in 2001 |
Pakistan cricket bosses have formed a five-man panel to alter Shoaib Malik's bowling action after he was reported during Saturday's Paktel Cup final. It was the second time the 22-year-old's bowling style had been queried.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan said: "We have formed a panel to help Malik to undergo corrective measures on his action."
The body includes national coach Bob Woolmer, ex-Pakistan captain Waqar Younis and former spinner Ejaz Faqih.
They will work with him for six weeks, during which time he can continue to play.
Although, if his action is reported again in the next 12 months, the International Cricket Council has the power to stop him from bowling.
Malik first altered his bowling after being reported during a triangular tournament in Sharjah in 2002.
The latest complaint came courtesy of umpires Simon Taufel and Aleem Dar in the 119-run defeat to Sri Lanka.
ICC chief executive Malcom Speed said: "The match officials decided to refer the bowler to stage one of the ICC's process for assessing bowlers with potentially flawed actions and have now notified the Pakistan Cricket Board of this step."
