Replacing the one-off Adam Gilchrist is like asking an A-Level art student to recreate Titian's Assumption of the Virgin with a toddler's painting set. While Brad Haddin is fully aware he is filling the gloves of a legend, the man from New South Wales is a competent keeper with the ability to bat with freedom and aggression, not too dissimilar to Gilchrist. The talent of Matt Prior with the bat is uncontested - he could find himself walking in at six with Flintoff relegated to seven. But his glovework remains a work in progress, as does his footwork standing up to the stumps against the spinners. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites |
