Each player or team competes in three group matches, with the top two from each group going through to the semi-finals.
Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas came from a set down in the 2019 showpiece to beat Austria's Dominic Thiem and become the youngest winner of the ATP Finals in 18 years.
