    Breaking

    Hawkins 6-4 Lilley

Barry Hawkins is the last man through to the last 16, thanks to a 6-4 victory over 50-year-old David Lilley, who was playing his first match on a TV table at a Triple Crown event.

Hawkins will now play Elliot Slessor after his 6-4 triumph over Kyren Wilson.

  3. Slessor beats Wilsonpublished at 22:53 GMT 2 December 2025
    Breaking

    Wilson 4-6 Slessor

What a moment for Elliot Slessor as he defeats 2024 world champion Kyren Wilson, winning 6-4.

World number two Wilson had a spell of 104 and 91 breaks in successive frames, but, apart from that, he was well off his best.

  4. Wilson in troublepublished at 22:36 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 4-5 Slessor

Elliot Slessor is now one frame away from knocking out 2024 world champion Kyren Wilson. A maximum of two frames left on table one, Wilson needs to take both of them.

  6. Hawkins one awaypublished at 22:13 GMT 2 December 2025

    Hawkins 5-3 Lilley

Barry Hawkins, the 14th seed, is one frame away from the last 16 as he leads 5-3 over on table two. His top break in the match is only 58, but he won't care about that if he gets the victory,

  7. Postpublished at 22:08 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 4-4 Slessor

No-one likes a re-rack, but at least this one on table one comes after only two minutes of the frame. Let's try again, 4-4.

  8. Watch - Wilson makes century break against Slessorpublished at 22:07 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 4-4 Slessor

And this was the start of Wilson's current purple patch. Watch an excellent century...

  9. Wilson draws levelpublished at 22:04 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 4-4 Slessor

This has been an excellent 20 minutes for Kyren Wilson after he had been struggling and looked on course for a first-round exit.

But a break of 91, coming only 10 minutes after one of 104, has him level at 4-4 and the match back in the balance.

  10. Wilson hits superb centurypublished at 21:50 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 3-4 Slessor

Much, much better from Kyren Wilson and that will make him a bit happier.

He has struggled tonight, but now rattles in a break of 104. He still trails 4-3, but he's back fighting hard.

Barry Hawkins leads 4-3 against 50-year-old David Lilley.

  11. Slessor two awaypublished at 21:35 GMT 2 December 2025

    Wilson 2-4 Slessor

A break of 50 from Elliot Slessor takes him two frames ahead of Kyren Wilson, who is sitting in his chair, head down and not very happy out there.

Will it be a day when two former world champions are knocked out of the tournament?

Elliott Slessor is looking more determined this season. He's not far off becoming a top 16 player and staying there. He just needs that little bit more ruthlessness to take it to the top players.

    Simon, Coventry

If Selby can replicate today's form deep into the tournament, he'll take some stopping. Anyone who caught his win over Trump recently will know he's in good nick.

Wilson 2-3 Slessor, Hawkins 3-3 Lilley

Barry Hawkins has just taken the sixth frame to make it 3-3 in his match with David Lilley.

Over on table one, frame five was a messy, error-strewn affair with Elliot Slessor taking it to nudge to a 3-2 lead over former world champion Kyren Wilson.

After the Ronnie result earlier, it does feel like a changing of the guard is happening at the top of the game. Zhao looked phenomenal yesterday and if he reach his Crucible level, will be hard to stop this week.
