Exeter Chiefs fly-half Harvey Skinner has signed a new two-year contract.
The 28-year-old has been Chiefs' starting number 10 this season, making 20 starts in all competitions and playing all 80 minutes in their European Challenge Cup 31-21 knockout victory against Munster at the weekend.
He scored a try in Exeter's first home Prem match of the season, against Newcastle Red Bulls, and went on to score against Harlequins, and Cheetahs in the Challenge Cup.
Skinner made his debut against Cardiff in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in November 2016 and has gone on to make 139 appearances for the club, scoring a total of 188 points.
He has formed a successful half-back relationship with Italian international scrum-half Stephen Varney, which has aided Exeter to their current fourth-placed position in the Prem standings.
"I've grown up here, and have now started a family of my own, so it felt like an easy decision to stay," Skinner told Exeter's website., external
"As a team, we've had some challenges, but we've also enjoyed some great moments, and I feel like this squad is on a good track to really achieve something special together."
Rob Baxter, Exeter's director of rugby, added: "Harvey is a young man who came through our academy and has had to work extremely hard over a number of years to become what you would call our first-choice, starting fly-half.
"He's learning every day on the job. He's very driven to achieve on a personal level but he also helps to drive the team in the things we want to do."
