Newcastle Red Bulls have agreed a deal to sign Northampton Saints prop Elliot Millar Mills on a two-year contract.

The 33-year-old, who has won 11 caps for Scotland, will move up to Kingston Park at the end of this season.

Millar Mills has been with Northampton since 2023 after a switch from Edinburgh and he helped Saints win the Premiership title in 2024 as well as reaching the European Champions Cup final last season.

He becomes the latest recruit by Newcastle as they strengthen their squad following Red Bull's arrival as owners.

"I've had a class couple of years at Northampton Saints and I've been privileged to play in a lot of big games over the last few seasons," he told the Newcastle website, external.

"I'm really grateful for that time, and now I'm looking forward to making more great memories at Newcastle and getting to know the new squad up there."

Millar Mills follows Exeter Chiefs duo Josh Hodge and Rusi Tuima, Argentina lock Franco Molina and New Zealand number eight Hoskins Sotutu in signing up for next term.

Newcastle sporting general manager Neil McIlroy added: "He's a hard worker who gets on with the basics of the game, and I know he'll be a great addition during a really crucial period for us."
