Head coach Steve Larkins says Redruth took no consolation from collecting a bonus point in Saturday's 28-23 defeat at Canterbury in National Two South.

Canterbury were down to 14 men and trailed 17-10 at the break, but only a last-gasp Ashley Hosking penalty gave Redruth a losing bonus point.

"We got no ball, so couldn't pressurise them and Canterbury came out fighting," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We made errors and it cost us. It was a hollow point at the end."
