Leeds full-back Miller signs new deal to 2028

Leeds Rhinos full-back Lachie Miller has signed a contract extension to remain with the Super League club until the end of the 2028 season.

Miller joined in 2024 and has gone on to make 74 appearances, including 24 this season.

The Australian is part of the three-man shortlist for the 2026 Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel award.

The 32-year-old has been ruled out of the rest of this campaign with a hamstring injury.

"I'm really happy to have agreed the extension and to know that I'll be staying at Leeds through to at least the end of 2028," he said.

"I've really enjoyed my time here. The club has made me feel very welcome and there's a great group of players and staff who are all working towards the same goal.

"The support from the Rhinos fans has been unreal and playing at Headingley is something I've really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to spending the next few years here and hopefully we can give the fans plenty to be excited about."

Since his arrival, Miller has become an integral part of Brad Arthur's side and helped them to second place during the 2026 regular Super League season.

Prior to joining Leeds, Miller played rugby sevens for Australia and later joined NRL sides Cronulla Sharks and Newcastle Knights, where he made a combined 19 NRL appearances.

"He brings a lot of energy to the team and he's got genuine attacking ability. He can create something from nothing, but his effort and work rate are just as important to us," Arthur said.

"I think he would be the first to say that he is constantly learning and finding ways to improve his game and that is a brilliant attitude to have from one of our senior players."
