Castleford Tigers captain Alex Mellor has been ruled out for two months with a broken leg.
The 31-year-old second-row suffered the injury in last week's defeat at Toulouse.
"It doesn't require surgery which is a positive but it is a weight-bearing bone so we need to take our time until that heals," head coach Ryan Carr told BBC Radio Leeds.
"It's a blow but at the same time it's next man up mentality and we need to make sure whoever comes in there does the job."
