Cameron Smith has a contract with Wakefield Trinity running until the end of the 2030 Super League season

Cameron Smith will join Wakefield Trinity on a four-year contract from the start of the 2027 Super League season.

Smith, 27, announced on Tuesday that he was going to leave Leeds Rhinos when his current deal runs out.

The loose forward has played more than 150 times for the Rhinos since making his debut for them in 2016.

"I'm really excited to be joining Wakefield next season," Smith told Trinity's website., external

"It's a club with huge ambition and a clear vision for the future. I'm looking forward to being part of what's being built here.

"However, until the end of the season, my full focus remains on giving everything I have for Leeds and finishing my time here the right way."

Wakefield, who finished sixth last season, open their 2026 Super League campaign at home to Toulouse on 14 February.
