Hull KR won the Challenge Cup in 2025 on the way to winning a domestic treble - and their defence of their titles will be live on the BBC in 2026

The new rugby league season is once again upon us and the BBC will have extensive coverage throughout the campaign.
The 2026 Challenge Cup gets under way this weekend with 17 first-round fixtures to get stuck into, including Thatto Heath Crusaders v Seaton Rangers on BBC iPlayer after Rochdale Mayfield against Ince Rose Bridge was postponed.
The BBC will broadcast every round of the Challenge Cup this season but the action does not stop there.
Elsewhere, there are plenty of big games to look forward to on the BBC across Super League as well as the World Club Challenge.
