Hull FC full-back Will Pryce has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury late on in last weekend's Super League defeat by Wigan Warriors.

Scans revealed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and Pryce is set to undergo surgery, Hull have confirmed., external

Hull, who are only two games into the new league campaign, signed Pryce from NRL side Newcastle Knights last March on a three-and-a-half year contract.

Injuries restricted him to 10 appearances last season, but he had started this year strongly with a man of the match performance against Bradford Bulls in round one.

Hull next face York on Friday at the MKM Stadium.
