Castleford Tigers held off a comeback from Challenge Cup finalists Warrington Wolves to go third in Super League.
The hosts took a 16-0 lead into the break courtesy of tries from James Clare, Junior Moors and Greg Eden.
Kevin Brown set up Stefan Ratchford and Bryson Goodwin as the visitors made a great start to the second half.
However, Eden crossed for his second try and Mike McMeeken powered over before Ratchford went over for a late consolation for the Wire.
Victory for Daryl Powell's side saw them leapfrog Warrington, who have now lost two of their past three league games.
Friday's defeat may also have come at a cost for Steve Price's men, who play Catalans Dragons at Wembley next Saturday. Mitch Brown left the field on a stretcher in the first half, while Ben Pomeroy ended the game clearly carrying an injury.
The Tigers had looked set to be in for a comfortable evening when Eden ran in from 40 yards after intercepting a pass just before the break.
Two tries in four second-half minutes gave the Wolves hope of a comeback, but they soon ran out of steam and are now just four points ahead of fifth-placed Huddersfield Giants.
