Saturday's order of play has been released and once again, the much-talked about night session slot on Court Philippe Chatrier will be a men's singles match.
Alexander Zverev and Frances Tiafoe will play under the lights, meaning it will be will be six successive night sessions without a women's singles match at this year's French Open.
Wimbledon champion and fourth seed Elena Rybakina faces Sara Sorribes Tormo to kick things off on Chatrier in the morning, before Holger Rune takes on Genaro Alberto Olivieri and women's world number one Iga Swiatek faces Wang Xinyu.
Over on Court Suzanne Lenglen, men's fourth seed Casper Ruud is first up against Zhang Zhizhen. The teenage tussle between Mirra Andreeva and Coco Gauff follows, with Taylor Fritz and Ons Jabeur starring later.

Such a solid performance.
A lot of that score line was to do with how well Carlos Alcaraz played. He went for his shots, he played patiently when he needed to. He served well, he returned well. He did everything well.
Alcaraz beats Shapovalov
Carlos Alcaraz on his win: "I felt great. I think I played a good level the whole match. In the second set I was in trouble a bit at 4-1 down. I started to make more mistakes but you had to be strong mentally. I knew he would harm my chances in the second set and I had to come back and I did.
"I am happy with my level today and I hope to take this level into the next round.
"I have seen great things in a short period of my career. My dream right now is to win every tournament I play in, fighting for Grand Slams, to compete with the guys like Djokovic. I want to try to see myself with the best ones and to achieve more titles."
On facing Lorenzo Musetti next: "I know my opponent, I know him very well. We played tournaments when we were kids. We played last year and he beat me. It will be a really fun match and I hope the people enjoy to watch it as well."
Hurkacz 6-3 3-6 6-7 (7-3) 6-4 1-1 Varillas*
Meanwhile on Court 14, Pole Hubert Hurkacz is into yet another fifth-set battle. The 13th seed is playing his third round match against Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas who is ranked 94 in the world.
It means Hurkacz has now played six consecutive five-set matches at grand slam level, following three five setters at the Australian Open.
Varillas also has a knack for deciding sets. His first and second round ties went the distance as well.

Utterly dominant from Alcaraz.
He’s going to take some stopping but we knew that.
The win means Carlos Alcaraz will face Lorenzo Musetti, who beat Cameron Norrie earlier today, in the fourth round.

Shapovalov is hanging in there - albeit unlikely for much longer - as he holds to 15 and forces Alcaraz to serve out for the match.

It’s been a great performance from Alcaraz. It’s been very straightforward.
I was hoping it was going to be closer, I was hoping for a bit more from Shapovalov, but he’s just been outplayed.

Too good from Alcaraz.
He's stretching a tiring Shapovalov across the court, drawing him up to the net and then putting delicate feathered shots and clever flicks out of his reach.
Alcaraz is one game away from progressing to the fourth round.

A game that sums up Shapovalov's performance in this match as at one stage he does really well in the rally, playing some great shots, but then puts his drive volley some 15 feet long to give Alcaraz three break points. He swiftly gets the job done and has the double break.
Almost there.

Alcarez races into a 40-0 lead on serve, the highlight of his game a wonderfully controlled shot at the net that left Shapovalov with too much to do.
It looks like being a routine hold to love but Shapovalov shows fight, taking the next two points but he then can't make a backhand return and Alcaraz takes the game.
*Alcaraz 6-1 6-4 2-1 Shapovalov
Shapovalov is in real danger of being broken again here as Alcaraz gets to break point.
The Canadian fights back to deuce but another double fault - his 10th of the game - has Alcaraz on the cusp of the break again.
Shapovalov, conscious that to lose this would surely be game over, twice hauls Alcaraz back to deuce and then great wrist work sees him flick a shot out of reach and move to advantage for the first time time in this game. He then takes the next point to win it, prompting a huge roar.
Not quite down and out just yet, but it will really take something for him to turn this around.

Carlos Alcaraz has just had more chances tonight. More break point opportunities. More 15-30s. More 0-15s.

Shapovalov is all over the place. He makes an eighth double fault - three alone in this game - on the way to being broken in this first game of the third set.
It is hard to see past an Alcaraz straight sets win here.

At long last, Denis Shapovalov returns for the third set.

He is walking back to his chair with his head down and he sits down with a bit of a slump because this is not particularly enjoyable for Denis Shapovalov. He's getting comprehensively outplayed in front of 15,000 people.

Carlos Alcaraz is back behind the baseline and ready to go again.
But Denis Shapovalov is nowhere to be seen just yet...
The top seed is jumping up and down, keeping himself warm. He wants this done and dusted quickly.
