    It all looked so promising when Kyle Edmund beat Feliciano Lopez in straight sets to put Great Britain into an early lead in this semi-final, but when Rafael Nadal hit back against Dan Evans it meant an all-or-nothing doubles decider in Madrid.

    And it was Spain who came out on top, winning both sets on a tie-break to reach the final on home soil, where Canada await after seeing off Russia earlier today.
