  1. Bye for nowpublished at 18:50 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

At the start I said we'd be finding out the first Ulster SFC finalists of 2019 today.

    That was wrong.

After 90 (yes, 90) minutes of action Cavan and Armagh simply could not be separated.

Clones was looking rather resplendent today with all the fans filling out the stands, and I imagine it will be the same again when these two meet again at the same venue next Sunday.

Remember, you can watch the full match on BBC Two NI and the iPlayer at 7pm.

That's approximately enough time to make a cuppa and get yourself lodged firmly on the sofa.

We've two semi-finals to work with next Sunday, so see you then?

I can't help but feel quite disappointed that we left it behind us. You can see Cavan's quality in their score taking but we know there are things we can sharpen up on in terms of our decision making. We lacked a wee bit of composure at times but we are still in the pot, you can be sure that Kieran will remind of things we can improve on during the week. Cavan will be learning as well and it makes for another exciting encounter next week.

A real rollercoaster for both teams and it was nip and tuck the whole way. We both learned a lot from the first-round games and we probably learned even more again today. We live to fight another day.

    Jim McCorry, Armagh assistant manager

Cian has great experience and he was the right man at the right time to take those scores. Both teams had opportunities to win it and to lose it as well.

  5. Draw a fair outcomepublished at 18:37 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

    Paul Finlay
Former Monaghan player on Radio Ulster

"Just a brilliant, brilliant game. It tailed off a little towards the end but I thought the quality from both teams was fantastic.

"I think a draw was absolutely a fair result."

  6. Still hard to separate the teamspublished at 18:31 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

    Enda McGinley
    Three-times All-Ireland winner with Tyrone

"I think both teams showed some inexperience today, which is understandable given how big a game it was for them.

"At times possession was thrown away a little too easily so there were huge learnings from both sides. It's going to be just as tough to predict again next week."

  7. What just happened?published at 18:31 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

    A brief recap:

After an even first half, Jarly Og Burns scored a goal that put Armagh in the driving seat.

Cavan then had Ciaran Brady sent off before mounting a Cian Mackey-inspired fightback to send the game into extra-time.

In the 20 additional minutes that followed, both sides could only muster one point each as the game ended as a draw, meaning we will have a replay in Clones next Sunday.

  8. No doubting who the Cavan hero ispublished at 18:27 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

Three points for Cian Mackey - all of them equalisers!

  9. It's going to a replaypublished at 18:27 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

Cian Mackey, it's made for him, it's meant to be surely? Nope, it's wide. He can't believe it.

    FULL TIME.

There will be a replay of this semi-final next Sunday. Yeah, that is is the same day as the Monaghan v Fermanagh qualifier.

    In Clones again.

Not good for the blood pressure for those of an Armagh or Cavan persuasion, but for the neutrals, we can look forward to some more of that. Great fun.

  10. One minute leftpublished at 18:24 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

Cavan haven't been to the final since 2001, Armagh since '08.

We have a minute of injury time or else it's a replay.

  11. Armagh got burnedpublished at 18:23 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

    Paul Finlay
Former Monaghan player on Radio Ulster

"It certainly looks like a replay now and Armagh have only themselves to blame.

"They were playing with fire by trying to hold onto the ball in their own half, they needed to take the game to Cavan and instead they got caught out."

  12. Mackey magicpublished at 18:22 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-17 Armagh 1-14

Armagh cough up possession and it goes through, McVeety, McKiernan to that man Mackey.

For the third time today he finds a stunning score from beyond 40 yards. That's class at any time, but in a situation like this, it's stunning.

  13. Playing keep-ballpublished at 18:21 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-14

Conor Moynagh is black carded for a high challenge. He's cramping up as he goes off so perhaps he'd have been replaced anyway, he has been brilliant today.

Jamie Clarke has dropped right back into midfield now as Armagh seek to control this one until the final whistle.

Armagh by a point as we head down the final stretch.

  14. How does he have the energy for that?published at 18:19 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-14

    Enda McGinley
    Three-times All-Ireland winner with Tyrone

"A massive burst of pace from Stefan Campbell - I'm not sure where he got that energy from - and he's very hard to stop when he gets going like that."

  15. Campbell breaks the stalematepublished at 18:17 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-14

Ben Crealey brings Armagh into double figures for wides.

Charlie Vernon does well to hold off Cian Mackey before finding Jamie Clarke inside. It works its way to Stefan Campbell (who is back on, obviously) who just motors through the Cavan defence and fists over. Huge roar from the Armagh support.

  16. Starved of a scorepublished at 18:14 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-13

My colleague has just pointed out that our last point in this one came 45 minutes ago. That includes the breaks of course but still, what was a relatively free-flowing game has encountered a bit of a drought.

Tension is a funny old thing.

Remember you can hear the conclusion to this game right here on BBC Radio Ulster.

  17. Who can make the difference?published at 18:12 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-16

    Enda McGinley
    Three-times All-Ireland winner with Tyrone

"Decision making and tiredness are going to come to the fore here now.

"Who is going to be able to step forward and create some chances and take those chances? You just get the sense that that's going to be the difference."

  18. Half-timepublished at 18:11 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-13

A very strange first half that both sides have rather allowed to pass them by.

Halfway through extra-time and it's the same score as it was at the end of the 70 minutes.

  19. Heavy legs and loose passespublished at 18:09 BST 2 June 2019

    Cavan 0-16 Armagh 1-13

10 minutes gone in extra-time and neither side has managed to score.

Paul Graham plays a sloppy pass indicative of what we've seen since the restart, it falls straight to Rian O'Neill whose effort is equally wayward.
