    FT: Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton

That's Jens Scheuer's first point in the WSL in charge of Brighton, a precious point.

They had lost their last two games by significant margins so they'll be pleased with that.

That puts them up to 10th in the league, a point ahead of Reading while Villa are sixth.

    GOAL - Aston Villa 1-1 Brightonpublished at 14:03 GMT 4 February 2023

    Julia Olme (73 mins)

    Big goal.

They have been pushing this half and Julia Olme rewards the Seagulls' efforts.

Given away sloppily by Laura Blindkilde deep in her own half and Brighton latch onto it. Hannah Hampton parries away the first attempt from Veatriki Sarri but had no chance on the rebound from Olme.

It's a first goal of the season for the Swede and it could be a vital one.

    Now then.

Veatriki Sarri forces the first real save of the game from Hannah Hampton with a decent right-footed shot just inside the area.

Could be something in this for the visitors.

Kenza Dali tries a run through midfield but it's cut out by a Brighton defender.

Katie Robinson sends in the cross at the other end but it's too deep and too easy for Hannah Hampton to claim.
