  4. 'I have a committed group of players'published at 22:18 GMT 12 January 2022

    FT: West Ham 2-0 Norwich

    Norwich City

Norwich boss Dean Smith, speaking to BBC Sport: "I'm disappointed with the manner of both goals we conceded. I felt it was a fairly even game in the first half and we restricted them to one goal.

"I wanted a bit more urgency from our wide players but unfortunately it lifted them a little bit as well.

"I thought we had a good 20 minute spell. We look like we lack a bit of confidence in the final third. I feel at times we refrain from pulling the trigger.

"We get battered from pillar to post from people outside that we're not fit to grace the Premier League, but we're still only three points from safety. I have got a committed and honest bunch of players."

On Todd Cantwell's absence: "He came in yesterday and was still feeling unwell. Josh Sargent's wife has had a baby - that's why he wasn't involved."

  7. 'We've got to keep going'published at 22:02 GMT 12 January 2022

    FT: West Ham 2-0 Norwich

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes speaking to BBC Sport: "I felt we had lot of ball and lot of domination. We thoroughly deserved the victory but it wasn't easy."

On Jarrod Bowen: "His all-round play is improving. He has been great for us and has got goals and assists in him."

On penalty shouts: "We've got to be careful not to talk about VAR decisions or penalty decisions all the time. We want to talk about the football."

On Lukasz Fabianski's save to deny Adam Idah: "He is really steady and consistent. We didn't have to defend an awful lot. Thankfully Lukasz made really a good save."

On moving fourth: "We have to try and keep it going. I don't think being fourth this moment in time means an awful lot apart from showing we have been consistent.

"As long as we are around the mix and European places, that will be really good but if we can hang on the coat tails of teams above...that is what we will try and do."

    FT: West Ham 2-0 Norwich

    West Ham United

West Ham's two-goal Jarrod Bowen: "It was a good performance. Norwich are fighting for points. We had to put the barricades up a little bit but with our attacking threat we've always got a goal in us.

"It would have been nice to get a hat-trick but to get two goals, three points and a clean sheet is good enough.

"We hit a bit of a rough patch and we were disappointed with our performances but that shows the standards we have set ourselves.

"We look like we're over that and we've got that winning feeling which is nice. We'll just keep going about our business."
