Leicester City

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers to BT Sport: "Tonight was not just about the result but about restoring pride. You saw the supporters clapping the players off. They give everything and had moments of quality. We kept a really tough team in it until the very end. We just lacked that bit of care in the final third of the pitch otherwise we could have made more chances.

"You have to be tight and organised and when you have the ball, have the courage to play and I thought the boys did that. I think our two centre-halves did great. Wilfred Ndidi got caught in the pack for the first goal and Virgil van Dijk had a free header. It's been an ongoing problem for us. It's definitely an area we have to improve on.

"You have to grind it through. The players are much happier with that performance and the spirit. It's a challenge after a challenge. When you get that consistency with centre-backs it gives you balance and unfortunately that's been difficult for us. We will keep pushing and take that spirit into the next weekend."

More from Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta: "To win football mathes like that [with 10 men] is extremely difficult and we have to stop it. We've been talking about it. I have run out of ideas [about how to stop it], I think.

"The character, how we dug in, the spirit we showed, I'm really proud of the boys. There was togetherness and unity.

"We need to play with 11 players in the last 16 games and that is key. To win games with 10 men is very unlikely."

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Sport: "We put ourselves in trouble with the red card and we had to dig in. Wolves threw seven players up front and it was difficult to maintain a clean sheet but we defended the box extremely well.

"We have to go game by game and there are small margins to win games. We have to keep improving. Our reality is the next game."

On Gabriel Martinelli's red card: "I've never seen that. I've been 18 years in this country and I've never seen something like it.

"We made it even more difficult for ourselves playing with 10 men. We suffered a lot in the last 10 minutes. I've never seen anything like it."

Christian Evans: Leicester didn't lay a glove on Liverpool, at all. Luiz Diaz looks a signing.

Lewis: Don’t agree at all with Michael, Wolves are exceptionally hard to break down, to get a goal in the first half and defend that lead with 10 men is nothing but an exceptional performance. It wasn’t pretty, but it was impressive.

Wolves

Wolves manager Bruno Lage: "I'm disappointed because I thought we were the better team. Our tempo was very good and we managed the game well but we didn't score our chances and we suffered from a set piece.

"I think there were two strange decisions, especially for our 'goal'. But we continue to work.

"I saw the Arsenal goal and the striker kicked Jose Sa's hand. It's clear, so clear. When you look at the image it's a strange decision.

"We did a good game and created chances but we are not scoring goals at the moment and we suffer because of that."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport: "Leicester are a really good team. The set-up was a little like they played against us in the first league game. I don't think they had too many finishes but they had moments that we had to defend. We had the bigger chances and we deserved the win. It was for sure not the best we ever played but it was really good enough to win."

On Diogo Jota: "The second goal is a brilliant goal. A counter-press. I love it. Jota with a little genius moment to put it into the right spot. The first goal is really when you are in a goal-scoring moment then you are there. He is in that. Really happy for him and for us.

"We had a sense it could happen. He is not a bargain or whatever and we did not get him for free! But we hoped. He is still a young lad. We create more chances than Wolves did in all respect. We really thought he would be an outstanding player. He was already but he has improved for sure."

On Luis Diaz: "That is exactly how it looked in the training session. He watched us and we showed him a lot of situations. It looks natural. It is really quick I must say. Really, really good performance. He had some outstanding moments."

On closing the gap on Manchester City: "I don't think they smell our breath already! But we just try to win football matches."

Michael: Arsenal pick up three points after playing absolute rubbish. United drop two points even when playing well. That's why United will not finish in the top four.

Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey: "We deserved it and the team showed a lot of character. We have to go game by game and today was a massive win for us.

"We know how difficult it is to come here and get the three points. They have a big crowd that supports them and they got a high from the crowd but we did our best and in the end we deserved it and we fought for each other."

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette: "This meant a lot and we showed a lot of good things for the rest of the season.

"It's always stressful in this kind of game. I'm proud of my team because we handled it well [being down to 10 men]."

Liverpool

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson to BT Sport: "It is never comfortable against Leicester. But we took our chances at the right time.

"When you have people playing like Diogo Jota playing with that confidence you always believe they can score goals. It was an important win for us, a clean sheet and two goals. We move on now."

On Luis Diaz: "My Spanish isn't great but we made it work today. My partnership with Sadio Mane has been great over the last five years so he'll come back full of confidence after winning Afcon but we have options now. We have competition all over the park.

"In his first training session I saw him flying about and I thought 'he'll be OK here!' For his first start, I thought he was excellent today. I think the crowd really took to him."

On the title: "The only way we can answer the questions is by getting results. The gap is still too big. We just have to keep putting pressure on them. We have to look after ourselves. It will be an exciting run-in hopefully as we are still fighting in four competitions."

Wolves

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves: "We did well but we are struggling to score goals and conceding a lot on set-pieces. With their goal there is some doubt about whether it was a foul or not but that's football. We are used to these decisions.

"We need to improve a lot on scoring goals because we are creating chances but we're not good enough in that part of the game.

"I can accept the decision about their goal but in some games they give it and in some games they don't. They need to do the same decisions in every game because it's frustrating for us.

"We saw the way they celebrated the win and that shows the level we are. I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league."

Liverpool

Liverpool goalscorer Diogo Jota to BT Sport: "I always like to get into those spaces. I was lucky enough to be in the right place and to score. It's never easy but we killed the game afterwards.

"It's my best [goals tally] so far. I want to keep helping the team. That's the most important thing.

"It was obviously an established front three [at Liverpool when he joined] but we have more options now and that is good for the team. Everyone will be needed at some point."

M: We are probably the most experienced team in the EPL to play with a man down.
