  2. Postpublished at 22:33 GMT 8 March 2021

    West Ham 2-0 Leeds

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "Not a good performance by our standards. The players are disappointed. Leeds United do a lot to you and make it difficult to play. You need the forward players to play well. We didn't do that well enough. Everybody knows how dangerous they are and are a good watch. They will challenge every team with the style they play. We had a bit of control but I didn't enjoy it. Nothing like how we have played. But we are resilient. We scored two goals, hit the bar and post.

"Jesse (Lingard) has been terrific in his all round play. We needed forwards to retain the ball better. We made the wrong decisions in some occasions. But he has been good and we're glad he got the goal.

"We are doing really well and having a good season. It could be a great season. I was disappointed when we dropped out of the top four. I'm not saying we will finish there but we need to hang in and see what we can do. Anything in the top half is a strong season for West Ham."

  3. 'We didn't play well tonight'published at 22:30 GMT 8 March 2021

    West Ham 2-0 Leeds

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes to BBC Sport: "Everybody says Leeds are a good watch. It's a difficult game against them. We were fortunate at times but a little unfortunate at others.

"We were resilient, we didn't play well tonight. I don't think Leeds help you play well, you have got to earn it.

"You never know with VAR when the first goal was disallowed, you never know if it will be given. We grew into it and regained a little bit of control by the break.

"People who want to head the ball is a dying art. Craig Dawson is very good at it.

"Leeds make you play at incredible intensity. All clubs when they play Leeds, their running stats will be as high as any time in the season.

"When you get near the top it gives you a big incentive. I was gutted when we dropped out the top four."

  4. 'I know it is a problem that exists'published at 22:29 GMT 8 March 2021

    West Ham 2-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We had the first 15 minutes in the first half which was the best for us in the game. In the second half the dominance was continuous. In that hour of play we had sufficient chances for a different result. But when they dominated for 30 minutes they scored twice. In the hour we dominated we did not score."

On conceded headed goals: "Disappointed is not the word. In any case I know it is a problem that exists. I am the one in charge of finding a solution. We had improved in this sense for some time now. Today it wasn't efficient in this aspect but it is a problem in an area I have to find a solution. The actions are the ones produced in the game. We must overcome the headers of the opponent. If we don't overcome them, it means the guidance I give to the team before the game is not good enough. We know it exists and we try to find a solution. We reproduce actions for the game in training and try to find efficient responses. For some games we have been avoiding them bit today they were repeated."

  7. 'Our chances deserved different result'published at 22:09 GMT 8 March 2021

    West Ham 2-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa to Sky Sports: "In the initial 15 minutes we were very good. In the final 30 minutes of the first half we defended poorly. In the second half we defended well and attacked well.

"We played better in the second half than they did in the first half. The differences in the first half were smaller than in the second half.

"We created 10 opportunities at goal without taking into account the disallowed goals. They were sufficent to deserve a different result.

"I don't ignore in those 30 minutes they created danger that was important. In the hour we were the dominant side we were superior than West Ham were in the 30."

  10. 'We dropped off it a bit today'published at 22:00 GMT 8 March 2021

    West Ham 2-0 Leeds

    West Ham United

West Ham forward Jesse Lingard, speaking to Sky Sports: "We started slow and weren't confident on the ball. We got the goals but if we want to push on for top four we need to be better.

"I like to commit players to have time and space on the ball. I like to drive into the box and make things happen. That was the only chance to do that (for the penalty) and it paid off.

"It is about consistency. We dropped off it a bit today. But the three points are important. We take each game step by step. We learn from each. It is not going to be easy every game. Leeds gave us a good game today. It is about objectives and taking confidence into the next game."

The West Ham bubble isn't bursting. They are absolutely flying. They carry on what has been a brilliant season for them. Leeds gave them a good game but were not clinical.
