    Result: Brighton 0-4 Arsenal

Following today's loss to Arsenal, Brighton midfielder Emily Simpkins said: “We’re obviously disappointed to lose the game, but we showed plenty of desire and togetherness. But, if you switch off at this level, you get punished, it’s simple as that.

“I would say that if you look at all four goals, there’s more we can do. We’ve seen first-hand today that if you make even a slight error, or aren’t mentally there, teams like Arsenal will take full advantage."

Spurs look like they've won it, seven minutes in to added time! Two of their substitutes play key roles, as Lucy Quinn makes a driving run from midfield and plays a lovely ball out to the left for Angela Addison.

Addision picks out Rianna Dean with a cross in to the middle and Dean's header finds the top corner. West Ham keeper Courtney Brosnan gets a hand to it but can't keep it out.

The closest Blues came to an equaliser was Rachel Williams' header which came back off the post.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:56 GMT 12 January 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 West Ham

There are still more than three minutes plus stoppage time remaining at the Hive, where Tottenham almost double their lead as first-half goalscorer Emma Michell fires narrowly wide from just outside the box with her weaker right foot.

Into stoppage time at Adams Park. Reading are holding on in relative comfort.

In fact, the Royals look more likely to grab another as Amalie Eikeland is denied her second by a smart save from Hannah Hampton.

    Result: Brighton 0-4 Arsenal

After his side's win at Brighton earlier, Arsenal manager Joe Montemurro said: “It was so important to get an early goal and then, once we did, we settled and then got that second. It was then a case of managing the game.

“We need to keep growing now, getting better and pushing on. There’s no way anybody can start thinking or mentioning the title, because there’s still a long, long way to go.

“Two big things for us are planning and preparation and you saw the end outcome of doing those things well today, and we’ll do exactly the same now for Wednesday and Reading in the Conti Cup.”

Chelsea are probing for a seventh without creating much. Plenty of possession but Bristol City are defending very deep and with everyone behind the ball.
