  3. 'Stop booing Bale'published at 10:50 GMT 25 November 2019

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has called on the Spanish club's fans to stop booing Gareth Bale.

The Wales forward received a mixed reception after coming on as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Real Sociedad.

It was his first Real appearance in seven weeks after his controversial 'Wales. Golf. Madrid' flag celebration in Cardiff.

"There is too much noise with Bale. He wants to be with us and do it well," said Zidane.

"I hope this doesn't carry on for the rest of the season."

  4. Silva favourite to depart nextpublished at 10:48 GMT 25 November 2019

    Everton's next five games are:

    • Leicester (Away)
    • Liverpool (Away)
    • Chelsea (Home)
    • Man Utd (Away)
    • Arsenal (Home)

Not a run of games you'd want to save your job if you were Marco Silva.

No wonder the Everton manager is now the odds on favourite, to be the next Premier League managerial casualty.

A slight side thought on that...I wonder what odds you would get on Marco Silva and Unai Emery to remain in situ until Everton host Arsenal on 21 December?

  7. Thanks for the receptionpublished at 10:31 GMT 25 November 2019

I felt a bit for Steve Bruce while he was at Aston Villa.

I may be wrong but doubt he'll get the same sort of warm reception Harry Maguire received at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

The Manchester United defender is happy to share the love as well with his boyhood club.

  9. Villa exit 'one of the most unsavoury times of my career' - Brucepublished at 10:24 GMT 25 November 2019

Aston Villa v Newcastle (20:00 GMT)

Newcastle's trip to the midlands this evening sees Steve Bruce return to Villa Park, where he was not always warmly welcomed, even while managing Aston Villa.

Bruce has described his final days as Villa manager as "one of the most unsavoury times of my career".

Now in charge of Newcastle United, Bruce was sacked by the Midlands club in October 2018, four months after losing the Championship play-off final.

His relationship with the Villa fans turned sour, with one supporter throwing a cabbage at Bruce before his final game in charge.

You can read all about that here.

Borussia Dortmund had to come back from three goals down to draw 3-3 with promoted Paderborn on Friday.

And it's not looking good for Lucien Favre's side who were tipped to be title hopefuls but are now sixth, five points off the pace at the top of the Bundesliga.

Cue this pensive look at the club's AGM on Sunday.

  11. Can Favre turn the tide?published at 10:10 GMT 25 November 2019

While we're addressing on topic Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre's position seems far from secure.

Dave: Have a feeling the Arsenal board do not wish to spend money sacking Emery nor pay out for a good manager. Silent Stan has made it very clear the club is a business first, collateral second and a team third.

Tim: West Ham, Watford and even Arsenal fans believing that their clubs are realistic targets for Mauricio Pochettino are crazy.

  13. Gossip:Sancho and Sterling on the move?published at 10:02 GMT 25 November 2019

Two England forwards have featured prominently in Monday's gossip.

The word is that Borussia Dortmund's19-year-ol forward Jadon Sancho - who is a target for Manchester United- is not looking to leave the German club in January.

But Manchester City's Raheem Sterling, 24, is refusing to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions - worth £450,000 a week - unless manager Pep Guardiola also commits his future to the Etihad Stadium club.

  14. Leicester's Christmas party title omenpublished at 09:57 GMT 25 November 2019

Now it may well be a month until Christmas but the Leicester City players are already in the festive spirit.

The Foxes have been spotted in Copenhagen with Danish broadcaster TV 2 charting their fancy dress escapades on one of their social channels.

Apparently Hamza Choudhury and Demarai Gray are dressed as Sulley from Monsters Inc, Marc Albrighton as Robin Hood, Harvey Barnes as Buzz Lightyear and Ben Chilwell dressed as Tinkerbell.

It's probably nothing...but the last time they had their Christmas party in Copenhagen was in 2015 - the same season they won the Premier League title.

  15. Why Leicester are title challengers againpublished at 09:44 GMT 25 November 2019

    Brighton 0-2 Leicester City

Leicester players celebrateImage source, Getty Images

Plenty of the recent media attention has gone the way of Liverpool and Manchester City, the managerial turmoil at Tottenham and the developing crises at Arsenal, Everton and West Ham.

    But what about Leicester City?

Brendan Rodgers' side are absolutely flying up in second aren't they.

And their performance in the 2-0 win at Brighton echoed something from 2015-16, when they won the Premier League title.

Anyway just have a read of this piece discussing their title credentials.
