  2. Reading comeback rounds-off day of dramapublished at 17:15 GMT 24 November 2019

Phew! What a day of Women's Super League drama we've been treated to.

Manchester United got the ball rolling in the early kick-off with a comfortable 4-0 win over Brighton, with Leah Galton scoring twice and setting-up a third.

Their city neighbours produced a five-star showing to defeat Bristol City and temporarily move to the top of the table. But not to be outdone, rivals Chelsea went one better and struck six without reply away at Birmingham City, with Bethany England and Drew Spence both scoring twice.

Arsenal kept up the pressure on the top two with a narrow 1-0 victory over winless Liverpool, thanks to Vivianne Miedema's 28th-minute goal and Everton beat Spurs 3-1 to remain in fourth.

The final match of the day brought perhaps the most drama of all, after Reading came back from two goals down and a red card to defeat West Ham 3-2.

There's the final whistle, what a turnaround for Reading!

Going into the final 15 minutes they were 2-0 down and down to 10 players. But they scored three times in seven minutes to turn the match on its head despite the player disadvantage.

    That is some result.

    West Ham look utterly shell-shocked.

    West Ham 2-3 Reading

West Ham going direct, Reading taking as long as they possibly can over every stoppage.

Halfway through the five minutes of added on time.

Grace Moloney picks up a booking for time wasting.

    West Ham 2-3 Reading

Reading hit the bar again! Fara Williams for the second time this afternoon, and Reading for a third time in total.

Wow they've made light of that first-half sending off.

    Into five added minutes now.

    Comeback complete!

Three goals in seven minutes, and despite their one-player disadvantage, Reading have come from 2-0 down to lead.

It's another horrible, scrappy goal as West Ham fail to deal with a corner and it's Jade Moore who eventually forces it over the line.

    Wow. West Ham are stunned.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:44 GMT 24 November 2019

    West Ham 2-2 Reading

So close to the complete turnaround for Reading as Sophie Howard unleashes a powerful strike and Anna Moorhouse just watches it go bye.

Luckily for her it bounces off the frame of the goal and clear.

Reminder it's READING who are down to 10! Can someone please remind them.

  9. goal

    Brooke Chaplen (76 mins)

Two goals in a minute and 10-player Reading are level!

The first goal was as scrappy as you'll see, the second is superb. Fara Williams still has a wand of a right foot and she threads through the perfect ball for Brooke Chaplen.

The midfielder runs on to it first time, gets there before Anna Moorhouse and sweeps it into the bottom corner.

    What a turnaround.

  10. FULL-TIME: Birmingham City 0-6 Chelseapublished at 16:39 GMT 24 November 2019

    Bethany EnglandImage source, The FA

A ninth straight win for Chelsea.

A convincing win for the Londoners with most of the goals coming in a purple patch either side of half-time.

Ji So-yun opened the scoring early-on before Millie Bright added a second in the 37th minute when Birmingham were threatening an equaliser.

But quickfire braces from Bethany England and Drew Spence put the game beyond doubt with only 63 minutes gone.

Chelsea saw rivals Manchester City hit five past Bristol City earlier today, but went one better themselves as they returned to the top of the table.

A chastening afternoon for Birmingham City who drop to 11th, with only Liverpool below them.

  11. goal

GOAL: West Ham 2-1 Readingpublished at 16:38 GMT 24 November 2019

    Kristine Leine (75 mins)

Reading are back in it and no one can say they don't deserve it.

A scrappy equaliser but Kristine Leine won't care as she bundles in from a corner.

    Game on!

    Birmingham City 0-6 Chelsea

The hosts seem to have steadied the ship somewhat after that barrage of goals early in the second half.

It looked like it would be double figures the way Emma Hayes' side were motoring along.

Nevertheless, Bethany England will be eyeing a hat-trick in the closing stages.

The attendance has been announced as 1,159.

  13. WATCH: Man Utd 4-0 Brightonpublished at 16:31 GMT 24 November 2019

In the first of this afternoon's games, there was a convincing home win for Manchester United over Brighton.

Leah Galton was the stand-out performer for the home side, scoring two goals and setting up a third.

  14. goal

GOAL: West Ham 2-0 Readingpublished at 16:28 GMT 24 November 2019

    Leanne Kiernan (64 mins)

    Sucker punch.

Reading, who are down to 10 players, have been brilliant since half-time. They've dominated without creating an opportunity in open play - Fara Williams hit the post from a free-kick.

But it's West Ham who score the game's second goal having soaked up all of that pressure.

They win a corner, there's a mad pinball style goalmouth scramble and eventually Leanne Kiernan pokes the ball in.

    That should be that.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:25 GMT 24 November 2019

    Birmingham City 0-6 Chelsea

Chelsea's 16-year-old academy player Emily Murphy replaces Welsh midfielder Sophie Ingle, as we head towards the last 10 minutes.

  16. Postpublished at 16:21 GMT 24 November 2019

    West Ham 1-0 Reading

Some concern for West Ham here as goalscorer Katharina Baunach lets out a shriek after a late challenge on her.

She then beats the ground in pain.

After a delay it looks as though she's going to try and run it off. It's that trusty left foot that rifled home the game's only goal after four minutes.

After her side's 5-0 loss to Man City, Bristol City boss Tanya Oxtoby told BBC Sport:

"We were excellent for the first 70, 75 minutes, especially considering the result on Thursday (losing 7-0 at Arsenal in the Continental League Cup). Our resilience and the way we stuck together to limit their spaces was excellent.

“But yet again we’ve let ourselves down. Three games in a week really took its toll and they are sloppy and poor goals to give away.

“When you’re playing the calibre of teams that we’ve played three times this week, with their resources both financially and operationally, it’s difficult.

“The players gave their all, I’m just probably just a little bit disappointed that they couldn’t go all the way through to 90 minutes.”

  18. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:15

    Birmingham City 0-6 Chelsea

Drew Spence - on a hat-trick of course - is hooked by Emma Hayes.

With Ji and Spence now off, the Chelsea manager is taking the opportunity to give some of her stars a rest for tougher battles ahead.

Meanwhile, Birmingham have introduced academy prospect Freya Gregory in place of Abbi Grant.

  20. 'I feel really good' - White on recovery from knee issuepublished at 16:12 GMT 24 November 2019

FT: Bristol City 0-5 Man City

    Tom Garry
BBC Sport at the Stoke Gifford Stadium

Reflecting on her fitness after missing the start of the season with a lengthy post-World Cup lay-off because of a knee injury, Man City's Ellen White added:

"I feel really good. It was quite a long process but it was about making sure it was right and perfect, coming back at the right time.

"So I feel good and I'm really pleased to be out there playing for this team. I love this club, my team-mates, the staff and everyone, so I’m delighted to be on the pitch, playing and scoring goals, and ultimately for the team to be winning."
