At the other end of the table, a point takes Barnsley off the foot of the second tier.

The Tykes are now winless in 14 league games - but have now drawn three of their past four.

Those points came from games against top-six trio Swansea, West Brom and now Bristol City.

They may be three points from safety and still have the worst goal difference in the division, but there are one or two green shoots of recovery under caretaker boss Adam Murray

We are fighting for our lives while they are pushing for promotion. We knew if we stuck at it we would have a chance. We need wins, but that is not a bad result after being 2-0 down. Adam Murray has been a breath of fresh air, and long may it continue.

The initial effort from Patrick Schmidt is scuffed goalwards but Cauley Woodrow is there to stab home from close range for the Tykes.

    Bristol City are shell-shocked.
