Rafael Benitez was Liverpool manager when he came out with his infamous 'facts' rant in response to Sir Alex Ferguson chipping away at him in the media.

Now Jurgen Klopp has used the F-word in discussing Manchester United's tactics.

"They just defend," said the Liverpool boss. "It is no criticism. It's just a fact."

More from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: "It's important to get results. That's the only way to grow confidence. A win would have been great but a draw is a step in the right direction.

"You can't look too far in the future. We need to win more games and today was a lost opportunity. We move on to the next one. A win in Partizan would be a massive step towards qualifying in the Europa League, then we have difficult league games against Norwich and Bournemouth. But we're working hard on their mindsets.

"As a manager you want results now - you can't lose four, five or six games on the bounce. We're looking to win games as soon as possible. Today was a step in the right direction but just not enough."

On the lack of a free-kick to Liverpool in the build-up to Rashford's goal: "It's maybe a slight touch but it's not a clear and obvious error. "He's young but he is experienced. With 21 years he probably has more matches than some players who are 24, 25. For me he is potentially a very good player, in some models and in some positions.

"As a number nine I don't think he has the 30 goals a season in him. I don't think he can get better as a target man. To be better as a target man is difficult for him."
