OK I'm logging off now. Thanks for joining me today and getting involved in the debates.

Juventus moved to one win from the Serie A title, Bayern Munich thrashed Borussia Dortmund to go top of the Bundesliga and Barcelona went 11 points clear in La Liga.

And of course Oxford United beat Walsall to practically guarantee their League One survival. Oh you don't care about that, do you?

Check out the BBC Sport football index here to see what else happened today. See ya.

This is how tired I am...

I 'fixed' the spelling in the tweet at 21:43, and Peter Shields has just tweeted in to point out he's said MESSIMERISING as a pun. And not a typo. Hadn't even spotted that.

Send me home now BBC bosses.

I'm just a rambling mess now to be honest. That's what seven hours of eating sugary snacks at your desk does to you.

Lionel Messi is the top scorer in La Liga with 33 goals - one every 72 minutes. He's surely going to win his third Golden Boot in a row. Luis Suarez is second on 20.

Messi is only one off his total from last season.

Not sure he'll catch his 2011-12 total of 50. FIFTY goals in a league season. He got 46 the next year. Cristiano Ronaldo managed 48 in 2014-15.

We'll never see figures like that again.

I've been doing this live text for almost seven hours. I can barely remember a life before this.

Peter Shields: I really don't care what anyone else says, Messi is THE greatest footballer ever to lace up a pair of boots MESMERISING!

Barcelona are unbeaten in 18 La Liga matches against Atletico Madrid (W13 D5).

They have only had a worse run against a team once before, going 23 games without beating Real Madrid between 2000 and 2013.

  9. Postpublished at 21:40 BST 6 April 2019

Atletico actually played really well for large parts of that game, but did Diego Costa's red card cost them? Maybe.

Did coming up against absolute winners like Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi cost them? Definitely.

  10. Postpublished at 21:39 BST 6 April 2019

Lionel Messi is the first player to win 335 matches in La Liga history. He previously shared the record of 334 with Iker Casillas.

    Barcelona 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Lionel Messi has scored in eight consecutive La Liga home matches, his best run since 12 between December 2016 and May 2017.

He has now scored 29 goals against Atletico. He's only bagged more against Sevilla (36).

    Barcelona 2-0 Atletico Madrid

It's all over. Barcelona haven't won La Liga tonight. But basically they have.

Ivan Rakitic and Saul clash but they both escape punishment.

  14. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

    Barcelona 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Barcelona are going 11 points clear at the top with seven games left. It's done now, isn't it?

Luis Suarez celebrated his goal as if they had won the league.

    Two minutes added on.

    Barcelona 2-0 Atletico Madrid

There was only one minute and 42 seconds between the goals.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 89 mins

    Barcelona 2-0 Atletico Madrid

A few bits of housekeeping. Just before Luis Suarez's goal, Barca made a change - Nelson Semedo came on for Sergi Roberto.

Suarez got booked for taking his shirt off to celebrate his goal - so he's banned for their next La Liga game.

And Alteti have just brought on Juanfran for Rodri.

    Lionel Messi

    That escalated quickly.

Lionel Messi runs from near the halfway line and gets into the box. Jose Gimenez tackles him but can't keep the ball, Messi gets it back and Diego Godin backs off, enabling the Argentine to place the ball in the bottom corner of the net.

    Jan Oblak had no chance.

  18. goal

    Luis Suarez

    La Liga title wrapped up?

Luis Suarez gets the ball 25 yards out, nobody is really expecting him to take an early shot but he does. It's glorious and curls beyond Jan Oblak, hitting the inside of the post on the way in.

    Brilliant, brilliant goal.

  19. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Lionel Messi gets the ball for the 96th time in this game but his shot from outside the box is blocked. Still time for some Messi magic though.

  20. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Barcelona 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Saul is playing at left-back the same way Jordi Alba or Marcelo do. He comes forward, plays a couple of passes and has a couple of shots blocked in a lively move.

Atletico need to score really to boost their title hopes. A draw keeps Barca eight points clear.
