So this is how Group B finishes.

Germany, ranked second in the world, march into the last 16 and a game in Grenoble on 22 June against a team yet to be decided.

Spain finish runners-up - and now head to Reims for a knockout tie against the United States or Sweden on 24 June.

China also go through as one of the best third-placed finishers after collecting four points.

South Africa are heading home.

Deep into stoppage time now. Spain are firmly on course to not only finish second but also secure their first ever clean sheet at a Women's World Cup.

Spain have definitely stepped it up a bit now and Peng Shimeng is called into action once again as she pushes Jenni Hermoso's hooked effort over the bar.

A promising attack ends in immediate disappointment as Lucía García sweeps an attempted pass out wide out of touch. She had plenty of better options available.

Another ball is sent into the box from the left, Alexia Putellas gets her head to it but can only direct her effort straight at Peng Shimeng.

China are getting deeper and deeper. A bit risky as Spain are finding a few more pockets of space to work with in their approach to the box. A cross goes in for Jenni Hermoso but the striker glances a header wide.

The crowd are a bit subdued and you can't really blame them. There's not been a great deal to get excited about in this game.

In fact, a bit of Los del Rio's Macarena got the fans moving more than anything in this game itself.

Lin Yuping goes through the back of Jenni Hermoso and Spain have a opportunity from 30 yards. Alexia Putellas steps up and fires the free kick at goal but Peng Shimeng has it covered.

Another corner for Spain but once again it comes to nothing. The European's lack of attacking threat has been really evident in this game and is something they will need to improve on in the knockout rounds.

Substitute Li Wen is shown a yellow card for a foul. From the free-kick Spain attack before Marta Corredera scoops a harmless effort wide.
