Manager Frank Lampard says Derby County must rediscover their "quality" after a run of just three league wins in 12 games

As well as the start of a full mid-week Premier League programme, tomorrow we'll have four Championship matches coming your way, plus individual games in League One and League Two.

In the second tier, QPR host Leeds, while fans of Forest and Derby will have an eye on Bristol City's game against Birmingham, with both of those clubs in the play-off mix too.

"Forest were nervous at the end but Derby were not good enough to capitalise on it.

"Derby needed people to force themselves upon the game.

"Look at Lolley tonight for Forest, he picks the ball up and drives. He worries the opposition and creates space for others. Derby didn't have that."

Forest boss Martin O'Neill tells Sky Sports:

"We showed a great deal of determination. Sometimes you can set out tactics, have a lot of plans... But you know what, eventually, it was phenomenal determination to saw us through tonight.

"I'm delighted for the lads in the dressing room and the fans.

"If you'd said to me, after two minutes of the game, that that'd be the end of the scoring, I'd have never believed you.

"We needed to win the game and we need to win a few more games too. We're fighting. We're behind. Every slip-up is immense at this stage of the season, but every victory helps enormously."

Brian Laws
Ex-Forest defender on BBC Radio Nottingham

"Overall it was a deserved three points for Forest.

"They were at it, the team played so hard and for each other. It was a Martin O'Neill performance, it typified him."

That win for Forest moves them to within just one point and one place of their East Midlands rivals.

The Reds climb over Birmingham City, who go to Bristol City tomorrow night.

Tonight's result leaves Derby without a win in four games in all competitions.

Are they slipping up at precisely the wrong time of the season?

They'll bid to bounce back at Aston Villa on Saturday. What a big game that'll be, with both sides desperately needing to win.

Forest's Ben Watson adds:

"It was important to come out of the blocks quickly.

"We knew, if we won this, it'd put us right in the mix. We've done that.

"Every one of us put a shift in and we knew it was going to be hard work but now it's on to the next one."

Forest's Jack Colback tells Sky Sports:

"We knew we had to win. The gap was there. We had to win.

"We've done the job tonight. It wasn't pretty but we got the three points.

"We had to give them [the fans] that win. Now we're there or thereabouts. The whole group believes that we can do it. We'll keep fighting."

"You can't hear yourself think at the City Ground at the moment.

"Plenty of old school scarf waving going on long after the final whistle and the noise hasn't relented a good couple of minutes after five minutes of tense added time.

"Three home wins in a row since Martin O'Neill lost his first game in charge. Back-to-back defeats for Frank Lampard's side."

The two sets of players square up to each other after the whistle goes, but it's nothing too serious, and it quickly calms down. Frank Lampard says a few calming words to his players.

In the stands though, the home fans are going bezerk. It's a massive win for them.

Forest get the points against their local rivals and they could be three very, very big points in the race for the play-off places!

Fikayo Tomori is booked for Derby, and Forest will run the clock down even more, to take a free-kick, 40 yards from the Derby goal.

The Forest fans are singing, waving their scarves in the air. They think the job's done.

Derby just haven't been able to build up any really sustained pressure.

Ben Osborn comes off, as Molla Wague comes on to try and help the hosts see out this win.

Forest win a free-kick in their own half and that will help them wind the clock down a bit more...
