I'm sure the Arsenal manager will be happy with the effort his team have put in today despite the fact that they look like they're going to be beaten. The main thing is, they still sit top of the table.

This frustrating day for Arsenal continues as Lia Walti is the latest to be shown a yellow, for bringing down Keira Walsh.

It's not Arsenal's day today. City are almost there.

This will narrow the gap at the top of the table to just three points, at the halfway stage in the season.

With around seven minutes plus stoppage time to go, Arsenal still aren't able to break down this extremely well-organised Man City defence.

The hosts are closing in on a huge win, that would narrow the gap at the top of the Women's Super League to three points.

It's interesting watching the Arsenal players right now, there's a little bit of heaviness in their body language, not necessarily all of them but some of them. They're a little bit defeatist at times and that's not what we've been used to seeing this season from the league leaders.

Matt Phil Carver: Sorry to say my fave WSL player, Viv Miedema being utterly owned by Jen Beattie in the first hour. Credit where it's due though – one hell of a centre back.

City have defended excellently against an Arsenal attack no one else has come close to stopping this season...

That result lifts Everton up to ninth in the table, above Brighton and Yeovil, who are both about to kick-off their respective games.

Arsenal are finding it really hard to break down this very stubborn Man City defence, led by England skipper Steph Houghton.

It's all over and it's a first win of the season for Everton at last! They've hung on to beat their fierce local rivals and they're off the bottom.

It's a great start to life as Everton manager for new boss Willie Kirk.

The Toffees are delighted. Liverpool, on the other hand, will have to pick the bones over their fifth consecutive defeat.
