We should have come in at least 4-1 up at half-time. I've told the players that if you want to be successful you have to capitalise when you are on top. We got a bit nervy and also had a stonewall penalty turned down.

    David Jeffrey, Ballymena manager

    Quote Message

The place had been a bit doom and gloom and I stepped into the breach. We were brave - even at 2-2 the boys had the desire to win the game. Maybe I've instilled a bit of belief back into the boys.

Another blow to Crusaders' hopes of defending their title as they slip to a fourth defeat of the season despite coming from two down to level.

Dungannon clinched it with Paul McElroy's injury-time penalty and they move off the bottom with their first league win of the campaign.

A thrilling derby ends all-square and there's no doubt which team will be the happier. Coleraine had Eoin Bradley sent-off early in the game and they twice came from behind to salvage a draw.

Ballymena will be wondering how they didn't win - Johnny McMurray's open-goal miss proved costly as they failed to capitalise on the man advantage.

    Ards 0-2 Glenavon

A Stephen Murray penalty in the first half and an Andrew Mitchell strike in the second sends Glenavon to the top of the table, one point ahead of Linfield.

For Ards it is a first defeat in five league games. They won't have too many complaints about this result really, Glenavon were the better team.
