Real are top of La Liga!

Isco's wonderful cross finds Sergio Ramos but Diego Lopez throws himself across his line to tip over the header.

Espanyol will still feel they can save this game. They're certainly no shy at having a pop. Seven shots so far for the visitors but the clock is ticking and they're going to have to start taking risks.

Diego Lopez makes a mess coming for a set-piece and Espanyol just about escape. Lopez is very lucky to get away with that one.

The Real defender is faffing around on the edge of the area and Borja Iglesias produces a delicate chip which cannons off the bar.

Espanyol are finding it much harder to get out of their own half. Real are hungrier and more attack-minded than they were in the opening half.

It's the Madrid derby next weekend and Atletico are hitting good form.

Earlier today, Diego Simeone's team won away at Getafe 2-0, with an own goal by keeper David Soria setting them on their way.

Thomas Lemar's 30-yard shot came back off the crossbar before hitting Soria on the back and rolling in.
