    Wednesday sees five more games in the Championship with implications at both ends of the table.

    Middlesbrough can keep up the pressure on the top spots with a win over Bolton, while Nottingham Forest will hope to add to their one win this season - although if you like the pools, their five draws from seven games is the joint-highest in the EFL along with Birmingham City.

    The struggling Blues look for their first win of the season when they go to high-flying Sheffield United while QPR host Millwall in a London derby at the wrong end of the table.

    Leeds United stretch their lead to three points after they beat Preston and Brentford could only draw at Ipswich.

    West Brom move up to third after beating Bristol City while Aston Villa's win over Rotherham moves them into the top six.

    Stoke hold on for their second win of the Championship season at a very rainy Bet 365 Stadium.

    In the process, they consign Swansea to their second defeat in the league.

    However, Swans boss Graham Potter can have complaints over Joe Allen's winner, with replays showing the Welshman was offside.

    The Baggies see it out to go third in the Championship.

    West Brom are the top scorers in the league, and four tonight takes them to 20 goals from eight league games.

    Not a game to write home about overall, although it's the first 0-0 draw of Derby boss Frank Lampard's managerial career. There's an obscure future pub quiz answer for you.

    The Rams had the better chances though and they'll be frustrated not to have won this one.

    Rotherham have five minutes of stoppage time to find two goals and, somehow, you can't really see it.

    The Millers have played well in spells but Villa have deserved this win overall.
