    Southampton 1-1 Watford

    That's all.

So Jose Holebas scored his second goal of the season to rescue a point for Watford who climb up to seventh in the Premier League.

But a few Southampton players looked as though they had lost the winning lottery ticket after a Charlie Austin goal that would have made the score 2-0 was disallowed.

I'm not surprised mind, the Saints are hovering just above the relegation zone. That's two points dropped for them.

    Thanks for joining me.

And that is that. The Southampton players look particularly aggrieved at full-time after their earlier disallowed goal.

    This is getting tense now.

  4. 'Watford still can get a winner'published at 16:49 GMT 10 November 2018

    Paul Ince

I think Watford can go and win this game now.

Winning 1-0 is not enough. The crowd get apprehensive, the team get apprehensive. Watford have been attacking for the last 10 minutes.

It wouldn't surprise me if they go on to win it.

Four minutes have been added. Can anyone find a winner?

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 88 mins

That's a free-kick all day long and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg goes in the book for a foul on Isaac Success

    Southampton 1-1 Watford

Almost an immediate response from the Saints. Manolo Gabbiadini skips down the right and cuts in but his left-foot shot is well saved by Ben Foster.

    Jose Holebas

You have to feel for Southampton. They should be two goals ahead but instead it's all square.

Watford full-back Jose Holebas larrups a shot towards goal that Alex McCarthy looks to have covered but it flicks off Cedric Soares and flies past McCarthy into the middle of the goal.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 80 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Gerard Deulofeu sends Manolo Gabbiadini flying and that's a yellow for the Watford man.

  10. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

A little spell of Watford pressure now as Jose Holebas launches a long throw towards the Southampton penalty area.

Cue a little bit of penalty area ping pong before Kiko Femenia blazes over from the edge of the box.

  11. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Couple more chances for Southampton. They could really do with putting this to bed.

First Ryan Bertrand misses from 20 yards and Maya Yoshida is next up, but his header is blocked and Watford smuggle the ball clear.

  12. 'Important Saints close out the game'published at 16:31 GMT 10 November 2018

BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

Southampton have shown a lot of fight, but they have got to be careful, the likes of Troy Deeney can get among them and get an equaliser.

It is very important they close out the game when you look at what is happening below them.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 68 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Javi Gracia has seen enough. Here comes Andre Gray who replaces Roberto Pereyra for Watford.

  14. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Looks like the referee Simon Hooper disallowed that goal because he believed that Maya Yoshida was offside and in Watford keeper Ben Foster's eyeline.

Foster didn't complain though. And having just seen a replay, I'm still scratching my head.

The Watford keeper had a clear sight of the ball. Did Simon Hooper think Yoshida touched the ball? That's surely the only explanation.

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 66 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

The celebrations are done and dusted and Charlie Austin thinks he has his first goal since April. But no.

Referee Simon Hooper has disallowed that one and there are more than a few heads being scratched at St. Mary's.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Cedric Soares goes flying into Roberto Pereyra and that's a booking for the Southampton man in this climate.

Well, any time from 1990 onwards.

  17. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Ryan Bertrand must be counting his blessings. That could've been a second yellow card for the Southampton captain.

The Watford players still look pretty peeved by that decision from referee Simon Hooper.

  18. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 58 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

That looked a pen all day long for Watford

Nathaniel Chalobah plays a lovely one-two with Troy Deeney but Ryan Bertrand comes right through him as he's about to pull the trigger.

There's still a chance for Watford but Roberto Pereyra fires straight at Alex McCaarthy from close range. They'd have rather had the spot-kick.

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

It's fair to say there are one or two mistakes creeping into this one.The ball is being treated like a hot potato.

Calm down, pass to the same colour shirt and move. Simple.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 55 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Watford

Nathaniel Chalobah gives Nathan Redmond's shirt a little tug and that's a booking for the Watford man.

Looked a tad soft to me.
