Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Daniel Sturridge's late equaliser was an "outstanding" end to the Reds' "spectacular" 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard, speaking to BT Sport: "When you are winning 1-0 and concede a goal at the end you can be sad butI think the draw is the fair result. I am a bit disappointed I didn't score in the second half.

"I think we can challenge against Liverpool, with City too these are the best teams in the country. We are not far, we are winning games and confidence is high."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport: "We made one mistake and their guy used it. I said at half time if we played the second half like the first half minus one mistake we would win.

"It was so intense for both teams, the boys did really well. Getting a point at Chelsea I can easy live with that, it is a tough place to go."

On Daniel Sturridge's goal: "It is cool, so good and so deserved. The whole dressing room was pretty much dancing. He had such a difficult time but now he has a wonderful time. Coming in and being fresh and making decisions is so important. Fantastic goal."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am disappointed for the moment they scored but I am really happy with the performance. We played against a top level team and we played very well with quality and intensity. The draw is the right result for this kind of match.

"I have the feeling we are improving match by match. I think we have the quality in the offensive phase. I think the players have been very intelligent to learn so quickly the offensive phase."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, speaking to BT Sport: "The match was beautiful. I am happy with the performance, I am disappointed they scored in the last few minutes but I feel the draw is the right result.

"Hazard can score 40 goals this season, I really think this. He is a great player and a great man.

"We have started only two months ago I think [we are doing] very well. Maybe they [Liverpool] are one step ahead but I am starting to think we can recover in one season."

Michael: Last time Sturridge played against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, he was playing for West Brom and limped off after 7 minutes.

Aaron: Sturridge could really make the difference in this season's title race. It's easy to forget just how lethal this guy is in front of goal.

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "What a game, a spectacular football game.

"It was so deserved for Daniel [Sturridge], a really nice moment and I'm so happy for him.

"I think we made one mistake in the game leading to their goal. It's difficult. We had chances, we played fantastic football. I love to win, but getting a point at Chelsea is good anyway. You can see how good Chelsea are but its nice to see it again.

"I know we deserved that point at least so I'm happy with that."

On Daniel Sturridge:

"Daniel has always been in my thoughts, but he was never able to prove it [before West Brom loan].

"We thought West Brom was a good idea for him to get minutes under his belt again, and when he came back, he was an option for us.

"It has paid off for him, it's nice and absolutely deserved."

On Mohamed Salah:

"We all have to go through moments like this, but constantly coming close is still world class.

"He's such a threat still and it's really good. It's really ok. We have to deal with the situation but it is not difficult."

They seem very reliant on Hazard, Chelsea but I'm glad Liverpool got a point out of it because they created chance after chance. But I think they'll need to practice their shooting more and more.

Liverpool's James Milner, speaking to BT Sport: "It is the sign of a good team to keep on going. You would be worried if we were not creating chances but we kept creating chances and that is a positive.

"We saw that we are both good teams. It is early days and as far as we are concerned we take each day as it comes. There is quality all throughout the squad."
