Well, it's been a roller-coaster start to this Championship season with live action across five consecutive days to get us started.

But, we take a well-deserved break now until Saturday.

Have no fear - all 24 Championship sides are in action on the day plus we'll also bring you all the stories from Leagues One and Two as we get this EFL season well and truly rolling.

A lively old affair in the East Midlands tonight where the sides couldn't be separated by two very tasty strikes.

Middlesbrough picked up their first win of the campaign with ease against a Sheffield United side with two defeats from two....

West Brom goalscorer Matt Phillips on Sky Sports: "We came up against a good team and we're delighted to come away with something. We played some good stuff on Saturday and it was important that we came here to get something."

Forest goalscorer Adlene Guedioura: "We had the game in hand but Matt scored a great goal. We had chances and if we'd scored the second we could have finished the game."

It's all over at the City Ground after one of the most enthralling final 15 minutes of a Championship game that you could ever wish to see.

Forest were the better side for 80 minutes but the Baggies have earned a point which could easily have become three.

And that is that for the evening at The Riverside.

As routine a 3-0 win as you'll ever see from a Boro perspective. I'm not even sure they had a chance to mention in the second half, but in fairness the game was pretty much won within 25 minutes.

It's two defeats from two for the Blades, one draw and a win for Boro.

West Brom bring on Hal Robson-Kanu for Jay Rodriguez.

Is there time for one last chance?

The fourth official signals four minutes of stoppage time.

Leon Clarke has another attempt for Sheffield United but once again fails to hit the target.

It looks like Tony Pulis' side will register their first three points of the season on a night where The Blades never really got going.

Four minutes of added time have been signalled. This is anyone's game now.

Forest's Lewis Grabban to head the winner... No! It's cleared off the line. Unbelievable stuff.

And now Joe Lolley curls just wide for Forest from inside the box. This is breathless stuff!

And now the Baggies hit the bar! What a finale to this game. Dwight Gayle again hits the woodwork from close range.

So despite all Forest's dominance, the Baggies could easily be level.

As for that spectacular effort from Adlene Guedioura a moment earlier, the last time I can remember anyone even trying something like that at this level was in April 2017 when Newcastle's Jonjo Shelvey tried his luck against Sheffield Wednesday.

Attempts like that are a rare, rare thing.

Sheffield United keep plugging away until the end despite still being a long way behind on the scoreboard with just five minutes left.

Enda Stevens tries his luck with an effort from the edge of the box which Darren Randolph palms away from danger in the Boro goal.

BBC Radio Nottingham summariser Steve Hodge in awe of that attempt by Adlene Guedioura...

"That was Beckham-esque. He took the ball 20 yards was still in his own half and could see the keeper was off his line. A brilliant strike.

"From early on when he pinged a couple of great diagonal balls his confidence has grown and everything is coming off.

"It's been a wonderful match for a 1-0."

David Beckham scored from inside his own half for Manchester United against WImbledon in 1996.

George Baldock and Leon Clarke link up well down the right-hand side for Sheffield United.

Baldock eventually fires a cross in towards Lee Evans, but Ben Woodburn fails to leave it for his team-mate and the ball fizzles out for a goal-kick.

Both sides also make their final changes with Grant Leadbitter replacing Lewis Wing for the home side and Ryan Leonard coming on for the lively Evans.

Suddenly, at the other end, Dwight Gayle is through on goal to level for West Brom... But he's hit the post! Drama.

Oh my. It's nearly the goal of the season!

As Forest break from a Baggies corner, Adlene Guedioura shoots from inside his own half, with Sam Johnstone off his line.

It's looking good, but Johnstone just gets a touch on it to deny Guedioura a memorable, memorable goal.
