And, last but not least, the weekend's final game in the EFL sees promotion-chasing Newcastle United play Preston North End.

As I said a few moments ago, there is a chance the Magpies could join Brighton in sealing promotion to the top flight if things fall kindly for them before Monday.

We'll just have to wait and see on that score.

• Aston Villa v Birmingham (12:00 BST)

This looks a tasty little fixture, doesn't it? Birmingham City, with Harry Redknapp at the helm, will be hoping to secure a vital three points in their fight against Championship relegation.

Not that former Blues boss Steve Bruce is planning to do his old employers any favours, mind you...

We've also got a full programme of League One and League Two matches, with Swindon Town and Leyton Orient also facing the drop, while Bolton could seal promotion back to the second tier.

Not that much changed tonight, but here's a quick look at the top six of the Championship table anyhow.

Brighton still have a couple of games left to seal the title. Newcastle, who face Preston on Monday, could actually be playing for promotion themselves if results go their way tomorrow.

I say dawdle, but Tomer Hemed just had half a chance to spark this game into life at last, breaking through down the middle and with Chuba Akpom alongside him and unmarked.

But, rather summing up Brighton's night, he over-runs it and the opportunity goes begging.

James Maddison is on for Alex Pritchard as we continue to dawdle towards the final whistle.

Perhaps a little peep into why Brighton's star man was withdrawn with the best part of half an hour to go?

A reminder, if you're joining us late, that two David Stockdale own goals are currently separating the two teams.

Norwich are back on the ball now, though, again pinging it around and keeping Brighton at arm's length.

I've no doubt the Seagulls would spark into life if they are able to pull one back, but it has felt a bit after the Lord Mayor's show from the Premier League new boys tonight.

That's a bit more like it from Glenn Murray, who spins on the corner of the penalty area and sends a rasping drive towards the near post of John Ruddy's goal, albeit just fizzing over the Canaries crossbar.
