  4. Mitchell a wanted manpublished at 17:33 GMT 21 January 2017

    Dungannon striker in demand

Dungannon Swifts boss Rodney McAree accepts his top striker Andrew Mitchell will not be with the club next season. A newspaper report this morning said Mitchell had signed a pre-contract agreement with fellow Mid-Ulster Premiership club Glenavon.

McAree said: "Andy has not signed a pre-contract at this time. He will be a Dungannon player until the end of the season of the season.

"Next season, though, I expect he will be gone. He is at the stage when it is time for him to test himself at a bigger club and to win some medals."

Meanwhile, Glenavon player-manager Gary Hamilton makes no secret of his desire to bring Mitchell to Mourneview Park.

"He is a home town player and has supported Glenavon all his life - his father is a steward at the club," said the Glenavon manager.

"We have spoken to Andrew but until everything is done and dusted we cannot speak any more on that. He is a player we would love to have at Glenavon."

  6. 'One of the best'published at 17:25 GMT 21 January 2017

    Carrick Rangers 0-1 Dungannon Swifts

    Quote Message

This result is right up there as one of our best wins of the season. The pitch was heavy and sticky and was difficult to play on. We had to put our principles on the back-burner for a while.

    Ballinamallard Utd 1-2 Coleraine

    Quote Message

We are very pleased. We had four players suspended and a few injuries on top of that and Ballinamallard are in their best form of the season. We knew coming here would be a tough shift but we acquitted ourselves well.

    Crusaders 1-0 Cliftonville

    Quote Message

It was a great through ball by Jordan Forsyth, I found myself in the box and was happy to see it in the back of the net. When Cliftonville went down to 10 men, we found ourselves with maybe too much time and did not do the things we usually do well. They worked hard to keep us out of their half but we got the win.

    Michael Carvill, Crusaders scorer

  9. Baxter's derby delightpublished at 17:09 GMT 21 January 2017

    Crusaders 1-0 Cliftonville

    Quote Message

It was a game of few chances, a feisty sort of affair. All that mattered was the three points and we were keen to get them. We could not see Ryan Catney's challenge very well, but whatever way he caught Howard Beverland, he seems to have come off badly and we hope he is ok.
