Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "It was tough. It's like a Premier League game but you need to be clinical in front of goal. We managed the game, created chances but it was difficult to win.

"There was no tiredness. If we analysed the game we played better but you need to score. It's hard to explain.

"Mousa Dembele had a smaller groin problem. That's why we changed him at half-time.

"It's a tough period for us. We have a crazy schedule but now we need to look forward to be ready for next Thursday.

"It's impossible to know if losing here will help us in the long ruin. Now we feel disappointed because we're out."

The stats don't lie. Tottenham had a load of possession but couldn't find the clinical touch. 

It is Spurs' first defeat since 13 January, and only their third in sixteen games. Not a bad record, that.

The wait is over for Crystal Palace. They've beaten London rivals Tottenham at White Hart Lane for the first time since 1997. 

A place in the FA Cup quarter-finals awaits. 

Eric Dier's ball comes in but Harry Kane can't connect. A 12th corner of the game for Spurs...but it's poor and it's cleared by Connor Wickham. 

Danny Rose is then booked for a foul on Wilfried Zaha. The clock ticks. 

An error from Ryan Mason gifts Palace the ball and Wilfried Zaha rushes forward again, but the ball is collected by goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

We're into three minutes of injury time.

Yannick Bolasie turns on the jet pack and speeds up the right wing. He swings the ball into the box and Connor Wickham pokes it home but he's offside. It won't count. 

Nacer Chadli provides a delicate lay-off to Josh Onomah but the Spurs youngster sees his shot deflected behind.

Two quick corners for Tottenham come to nothing. They're running out of time now. 

Alan Pardew is pacing the technical area. The Palace manager looks a bit nervous, and maybe a bit chilly.

 Yannick Bolasie twists and turns around his opposition but he collides with Ryan and drags his studs over the top of the Tottenham midfielder's shin. Ouch. It's a delayed yellow card for the Palace substitute. 

Palace bring on Mile Jedinak to replace Yohan Cabaye, who's on a yellow card.

Dele Alli, who's had a decent game for Spurs, is replaced by Ryan Mason. 

Connor Wickham darts into the penalty area for Crystal Palace but he dallies on the ball for too long and his lay-off misses an on-rushing Yannick Bolasie. 

Ryan Heatly: Another Spurs 'fan' that wants us to lose a game? You're not a fan. You want to win the lot. We're good enough too.
