Right that's all from us. Cheers for the company and I'll see you later.

England boss Mark Sampson: "So close to the win against one of those big guns. It was a game of two halves. We had to grind out the first but in the second half we were outstanding.

"This tournament has been a really good experience and we take a lot away from it.

"Winning is great, we want to win, but people connect with this team. They are honest and work incredibly hard."

All over. England's 42-year wait for a win over France goes on, but they do round off their campaign with their first point of the tournament.

Three minutes of injury time. Despite a bright spell by England, this game is fizzling out towards a draw.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 86 mins

    France 0-0 England

Claire Lavogez struck the bar in the first half but hasn't had much of an impact in this half. She is replaced by Viviane Asseyi for the final few minutes.

Time running out for a winner.

A shot from Karen Carney. Speculative, but it is not far off as it whizzes just past the post. Moments later, Jordan Nobbs shoots from distance, and is also just wide.

England pressing in these closing stages.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    France 0-0 England

A French change as midfielder Elise Bussaglia is sent on for Camille Abily.

England then come forward again as Katie Chapman floats in a cross for Eni Aluko, but it is too close to the France keeper.

    All good.

After a bit of treatment Karen Bardsley is all good and insists she can carry on.

Fifteen minutes for someone to find a goal. At the moment, I'd have to say England look the most likely to get it.

    France 0-0 England

Good changes by Mark Sampson. Lucy Bronze is straight into the thick of the action, closing down the France full-back, winning the ball and knocking it towards the byline. She crosses, but the ball had just gone out of touch.

Concern for England? Keeper Karen Bardsley is down clutching her knee.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    France 0-0 England

Alex Scott, who was excellent in the first half, is replaced by Lucy Bronze, before Mark Sampson makes his third change as Karen Carney comes on for Demi Stokes.

    France 0-0 England

England, though, always have to be wary of that France counter as Eugenie Le Sommer and Marie Laure Delie exchange passes, opening up the England defence and giving Le Sommer sight of goal, but she shoots wide of the far post.

    France 0-0 England

Eni Aluko is making herself available for the ball at every opportunity and it is causing the French defence a lot of concern. She scampers after a Jill Scott ball down the left, holds it up before passing to Demi Stokes, but her cross is hacked away.

This is still a game short on chances, but England are looking more threatening than they were in the first half. Eni Aluko's introduction has certainly played its part in that, and she almost sets Demi Stokes away, but her ball into the box is a bit too long for the defender to get to inside the area.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

Is there anything more pointless than a substitution made mere minutes after a previous substitution?

France make a quick second change as Eugenie Le Sommer comes on for Louisa Necib.

Surely a good change as far as England are concerned? Necib was one of France's biggest threats.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 56 mins

    France 0-0 England

Mark Sampson responds by making a change as well. His switch comes in attack as Toni Duggan is replaced by Eni Aluko, who is making her 100th appearance for England.

Her pace could be key if England mirror France and try to get in behind the defence.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 54 mins

    France 0-0 England

France blink first and make a change as Griedge Mbock Bathy replaces Laura Georges. A defender for defender.

Then, from nothing, England have a chance as Katie Chapman pounces on a defensive mix up but drives her shot just wide.

    France 0-0 England

France win the first corner of the second half, which is headed out by Katie Chapman but only as far as Louisa Necib, whose strike from outside the box whistles over the bar.

A niggly start to the second half, some needless free-kicks being conceded.

Jill Scott has been heavily involved for England, with her team-mates looking to get passes to her quickly. France dealing with it at the moment, though.
