Just the one match in the Premier League. But what a belter. A real ding-dong at Loftus Road but Tottenham are right in the hunt for a Champions League spot thanks to Harry Kane. QPR, however, are on the ropes. Thanks for your company.

  2. Manager reactionpublished at 17:20 GMT 7 March 2015

Mauricio Pochettino on his side's recent form: "The reaction after going out of Europe has been fantastic. It was difficult after the defeat against Fiorentina. I think the response has been fantastic from the squad in the big games that have followed. We have to go away and now train hard to focus on our next match against Manchester United."

  3. Manger reactionpublished at 17:19 GMT 7 March 2015

Mauricio Pochettino on the form of striker Harry Kane: "It's difficult to say anything else about Harry, his performance today shows his strength to keep working. It's Roy Hodgson's decision if he plays for England or not, but all of us here in the Tottenham family are happy with him."

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to Match of the Day: "I'm very proud of our performance, we showed big character against a difficult opponent and on a difficult stage. We showed today the way that we play and the character we have. The way QPR play is long ball and on the edge of the box, they have strength in the air through Bobby Zamora and Charlie Austin, but we handled it."

He's done it again...away from the Lane...QPR struck by two hits from the Kane.

  6. Player reactionpublished at 17:13 GMT 7 March 2015

More from Harry Kane: It's a massive win, we always seem to be winning 2-1. We looked in control, but we looked in control the other night and Hugo Lloris had to make a big save. So we have to improve in killing teams off.

"I'm loving my football, being out there with my team-mates and my mates. I feel good and confident, it's important for a striker to have that. The second goal was a nice composed finish.

"There are a lot of top teams up there (competing for the top four) and whoever can put a run together will be right up there. That's what we are hoping to do and it's a big game at Old Trafford next week."

Tom Castle:, external Hard to pinpoint what separates Harry Kane but he's a special player.

Charles Kahanji:, external If I were Louis van Gaal, I wouldn't waste huge sum on an ageing Falcao. I'd attempt to lure young Harry Kane or Charlie Austin.

Tottenham's two-goal striker Harry Kane: "We've had a disappointing couple of weeks so we had to build momentum and get up the league. Which we have done with two good results. Andros put in a great ball in great area and that's it, back of the net. The second one I was happy to round the keeper and put it in the back of the net."

On a possible England call up: "I just need to keep doing what I'm doing. There are still a few more games until the international break so I just need to do the best I can for Spurs."

"QPR played well for periods. They got a goal out of nothing in the second half and had a go for five minutes, but other than that Tottenham were the better side.

"Having said that, Spurs were lucky to be winning at half-time and a case could be made that QPR could have got something out of this game.

"One or two people were saying Spurs' season could come to a dramatic end but they have rectified that and are three points off the Champions League places."

QPR battled and were on top for periods. But once again their hard work has resulted in nothing. They remain in the bottom three, three points from safety, with 10 games remaining. It's not looking good.
