England batsmen Jonny Bairstow: "To come back and strike the white ball in two different roles was really pleasing for myself. Like Sammy mentioned, I'm going into the IPL with a lot of confidence."
On his wicket: "We know Bhuvi's skills. I think going outside of off stump is a good way of countering that. If he's bowling in-swing it's going to hit you pretty much perfectly in line. We play together at Sunrisers and I'll be facing him in the nets plenty more!"
On Curran: "He showed maturity to take the game so deep and obviously his hitting was really special. He's played out of his skin there - we know the quality and talent that Sammy has and everyone out there had a immense belief that he'd get us over the line but credit to Natu for nailing those yorkers in the last over."
Image source, Getty ImagesIndia captain Virat Kohli: "When the top two teams battle each other you get exciting games, that was what happened tonight. Sam played a really good innings to keep them in the hunt. Our bowlers kept taking wickets at the right periods."
On his side's dropped catches: "It is most disappointing for the guy who drops the catch. Everyone wants to do the best out on the field. You accept this is a part of cricket. I don't think as individuals there is a lack of intent. Our body language was outstanding tonight."
On the whole tour: "This tour is especially sweet and pleasing because we won every series. It has been an amazing season and a great way to finish it off."
England captain Jos Buttler: "Both sides made some mistakes throughout the game and both sides played some brilliant cricket. It made for a great game, we're indebted to an unbelievable innings from Sam Curran to nearly get us over the line.
"There's been some great learnings throughout the whole process for us. We've seen some guys stand up and take their opportunities and we'll have learnt a lot as a side. Of course you want to learn along with winning but the white-ball leg has been fantastic - it has been very close and today was no different.
"Playing in India is great learning and for the young guys who made their debuts in this series it'll be a great experience for them against a top-class side."
Jonny Bairstow is the man of the series.
England's Sam Curran: "Obviously the main thing in the end was we didn't win the game but I am really happy with the way I played. It was a great experience for me. I haven't done something like that for while.
"I had messages from the dugout to take the majority of the balls. I tried that but fair play to Natarajan. At the end he nailed his six deliveries. It is a massive learning curve. I will take a lot from it but I am a little disappointed."

Ultimately it's a clean sweep for India in the Test, T20 and ODI series. England ran them close in the white-ball games. It has been great fun.

I must admit I had more of an eye on the Formula 1 for a large part of that second innings. Fair play to Sam Curran, Mark Wood, Adil Rashid - Sam Curran obviously in particular. India gave them plenty of chances but they took it right to the wire.
He came so close...

J Haverson: Curran played out of his skin, but definitely turned down too many singles for me - serious what if scenario.
India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar on England's first over: "Being a bowler you're always under pressure. I wasn't really worried about the boundaries as they were good balls. It was a plan for me and it actually worked."
