    Another day of Championship action done and dusted - and who can stop the Somerset bandwagon from rolling after the Division One leaders completed a 49-run win over Warwickshire?

    Sam Northeast and India's Ajinkya Rahane made fine centuries for Hampshire against Notts, but the most exhilarating innings of the day was played by Sussex's Phil Salt, who hit 122 at Northampton.

    Meanwhile, Lancashire moved to the top of Division Two table by beating Worcestershire after a few early alarms in their run-chase, and there were also wins for Gloucestershire and Glamorgan.

    Conor McKerr starts the final over of the day with a half-volley which Sean Dickson off-drives for four - and ends it with another on leg-stump which brings the same result through mid-wicket.

    Kent will need another 380 tomorrow to beat the defending champions, with nine wickets remaining.

    Dickson is 27 not out, having made a century in the first innings, with nightwatchman Adam Riley on four.

    England's Sam Curran top-scored with 80 for Surrey earlier in the day, and shared in a stand of 85 with Rikki Clarke.

    Centuries from Ajinkya Rahane (119) and captain Sam Northeast (133) have put Hampshire firmly in charge on day three on the Isle of Wight.

    Hants had been 9-2 after Oliver Soames was out early in the morning - but Rahane and Northeast batted almost to the tea interval.

    The pair put on 257 - a record for the third wicket wicket against Nottinghamshire.

    Tom Alsop (51 not out) and Ian Holland (39 not out) then took the lead beyond 400.

    Notts' cause hasn't been helped by the loss of openers Ben Duckett and Ben Slater before the close.

    A single off Luke Procter in the final over of play takes Ben Brown to a 52-ball fifty at Wantage Road, following his 156 earlier in the match.

    The Sussex skipper now has some thinking to do overnight as they ponder a declaration against Northants, with their lead already 346.

    Brown (51) and Stiaan van Zyl (52) have shared an unbroken partnership of 82, but the undoubted innings of the day was played by opener Phil Salt.

    He smashed 122 off 104 balls, with three sixes and 17 fours, after Northants had reached 368 all out to trail by only 54 on first innings.

    It was far from easy but Glamorgan have their first Championship win of the summer, with 8.1 overs to spare.

    Tom Cullen reaches an 88-ball half-century with the winning boundary off Matt Critchley - his first in first-class cricket - and finishes with 51 not out.

    Having been set a target of 246, their chances looked slim at 14-2 and 146-6, but Dan Douithwaite made 31 and Andrew Salter (26) helped Cullen add 55 crucial runs for the eighth wicket.

    Glamorgan take 22 points, and now have a record of one win and two draws, with Derbyshire earning seven.

    The Kent paceman finishes with 4-74 but his side will have to score 426 to win this game - a very tall order with just half a session today, and three more tomorrow remaining.
