It turns out there wasn't time for a 21st wicket.
Still, the fans at Lord's can't complain they've not been entertained today, and the home fans will be slightly the happier as their side hold a slender advantage going into day two.

Lancashire 149 v Hampshire 147-5
It's advantage Hampshire at stumps in the battle of second against third in the County Championship.
Alex Davies top-scored for second-placed Lancashire with 36, with not a bad set of figures to be seen from the Hampshire bowling attack as the visitors were all out for 149.
The hosts stumbled early in their response, but 40 from James Vince, and a 28-run sixth-wicket partnership between Liam Dawson and Ian Holland have them just three runs short of taking the lead.
Yorkshire 113 v Essex 188-8
Essex safely see their way through to stumps at Scarborough, with Ryan ten Doeschate (61) and Mohammad Amir (11) adding a very useful 24 runs for the ninth wicket.
Yorkshire will need to break that partnership quickly in the morning if they are to have realistic hopes of getting anything out of the game.
Warwickshire 126 v Middlesex 161
Twenty wickets have fallen in a day at Lord's.
James Franklin is the last man out as Middlesex fail to pick up a batting point, caught by Jonathan Trott at slip after Jeetan Patel found the edge.
The defending champions have a lead, but it's been a pretty heroic effort from Warwickshire to limit the damage this afternoon.

Ryan Sidebottom has struck twice in an over late on as the Australian bowls Tom Helm for two and Tim Murtagh for four.
Middlesex have a slender lead of just 34 runs at Lord's after 19 wickets having fallen on day one and there are still seven overs left in the day!

From 49-3 to 342-7, Sussex can be pretty pleased with their day's work.
Chris Nash led the fightback, scoring 118 before being trapped lbw by Joe Leach.

Yorkshire continue to claw their way back into the game at Scarborough, as Jack Brooks picks up his third wicket of the innings.
Adam Lyth, one of the sharpest fielders in English domestic cricket, takes the catch at slip to remove Simon Harmer.
Essex are still on top, but I imagine they'd have liked a much bigger lead than this after their bowling masterclass earlier.

Matt Parkinson was out for a golden duck with the bat earlier, but the young Lancashire leg-spinner makes an impact in his first over with the ball in hand.
Australian George Bailey is Parkinson's 11th victim in first-class cricket, edging the ball to Liam Livingstone at first slip.

A good day for Division Two leaders Nottinghamshire against Derbyshire is ended early by fading light.
The visitors will resume on day two trailing by only 127 runs, with Steven Mullaney unbeaten on 35 alongside Samit Patel, who has 21.

What a day it's been for Cameron Steel.
The Durham batsman is unbeaten on a career-best 145, helping Durham to a commanding position of 323-4 at stumps.

Having been 49-3 Sussex have vindicated the decision by skipper Ben Brown to bat first and are in a powerful position with five overs remaining in the day.

The first of today's games comes to an end, and Gloucestershire will probably be pretty pleased with how things stand at Northampton.
Northants looked set for a big total, cruising at 153-1, but three wickets for Liam Norwell led the visitors' fightback.

A fourth wicket falls, but for the first time Lancashire keeper Alex Davies isn't in on the action.
James Vince scored quickly for Hampshire to make 40 from 46 balls, before miscuing a Kyle Jarvis delivery to Stephen Parry at mid-wicket.
The hosts still have work to do to surpass Lancashire's total on a pitch which seems to be giving plenty of help to the bowlers.

Warwickshire, winless in first-class cricket this season, have let the hosts off the hook at Lord's this afternoon after fighting so hard to get back in contention.
