  2. 'It will be a tough end to the season'published at 14:22 GMT 15 March

FT: Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz: "We knew what Aston Villa was going to do but you need to manage it and we didn't do that. We sorted it out in the second half but we need to be more determined in our defending and not hesitate. A good team like Aston Villa punished us.

"In the second half we created a couple of chances so we are on still our mission of going in this direction of creating a lot of chances in lots of ways. I'm not worried about that. It will be coming in the coming weekend.

"For us it's five games left and crucial games. We have said we will take on each game at a time. We will learn a lot from this and then Tottenham at weekend and it will be a completely different game.

"It's the end of the season so there's a lot of things to battle for so it will be a tough end of the year."

  3. 'The team played with soul'published at 14:20 GMT 15 March

FT: London City Lionesses 0-2 Arsenal

    London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses boss Eder Maestre: "I am disappointed because we want to win. I think we had some chances to score, they were every clinical and exploited and took advantage of the options they had in our box. That's football, sometimes you have chances you are not able to score.

"The team played with soul, gave everything they had. Nothing to say when you see your team give everything.

"It's about belief, understanding that we started the game quite well.

"That goal [Arsenal opener] broke our flow, we stared to be hesitant in the 50-50 duels. It's about recovering the mood, energy, the belief to keep pushing. When we in the best position to equalise we suffered the second goal. But we kept pushing until the end."

  4. 'Our goal is to finish in WSL top six'published at 14:18 GMT 15 March

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Everton

    Everton

Everton defender Ruby Mace, who was named player of the match: "After the break, we had the mindset to come in and do best as we can and show what we can do with the ball.

"It was a battle and Tottenham were a really good side to come up against. Kelly Gago and Inma Gabarro coming on and did so well to keep us going. We all got the same mindset to succeed and to have a team behind you who wants to achieve things is really nice.

"Our goal was to finish in the WSL top six and to know that it is achievable with a group like this and fans who travel with us every week - think it feels like achievable."

FT: London City Lionesses 0-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

    Arsenal manager Renee Slegers:

"Definitely job done, we did business today. It was really hard conditions, the pitch was bobbly and it was very windy. The player had to deal with the circumstances, it was a learning for us. If you ask which team dealt with it best, it was us today. We didn't create as many opportunities as we usually do, or get shots on target, but it is job done."

On the form of Olivia Smith: "She's been really good for us. That's the reason we brought her in, the impact she can make and how she contributes to the way we play, she gives us another level and different things on the pitch. I am really happy we get out of her what we want, we ask her to play different roles and she does them so well. She's so good, clinical and ruthless when in and around the goal.

On the impact of Stina Blackstenius off the bench: "We have such a good squad, Stina plays both roles really well. Starts for us, makes an impact, but is really good coming on to make an impact when there is more space as opposition come out and takes more risks. More space behind back lines, more fatigue, more transition - that's her game."

    London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses midfielder Danielle van de Donk: "It was a bit sloppy, the wind didn't help. We worked hard but I think Arsenal deserved the win."

On reaching 100 WSL appearances: "It's very cool, very proud of the milestones in my career."

On LCL fielding the youngest XI in the WSL this season: "This club is new, a lot of new players, young ones and older ones, there is no in between. We have to make a good mix."

  7. 'Every game is a final now'published at 14:10 GMT 15 March

FT: Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City defender Kerstin Casparij: "I wasn't surpirsed, if you look at Villa it's a team that loves a battle and really wants to win. I wasn't surprised. They gave us a run for our money and it was a tough game.

"We struggled a bit in possession especially in the first half. [Lauren] Hemp put in a lot of good balls but it doesn't get to right players, maybe players are not in the right positions. These games are part of a season. We are so good in front of goal, we have amazing players. We aren't panicking it's just one of those games.

"If you are in title race moments like this happen and it's all about how we respond to it. We have overcame a lot of these types of moments and learned from previous seasons. We knew are result like this was going to happen. Full focus on next week because every game is a final now."

    Arsenal

Arsenal striker Alessia Russo speaking at full-time: "It was really tough. London City Lionesses are a top side, they made it tough for us. The windy conditions were hard to play with. But we showed a professional performance, kept a clean sheet and scored when it mattered.

"I love playing for this club, to make 100 appearances is so special. Hopefully hundreds more. I love every single minute I get to wear this shirt.

"We have to focus on ourselves, we have a few games in hand and know we just need to knuckle down."

    Liverpool 2-0 Leicester

Job done for Liverpool and it's a HUGE three points for Gareth Taylor's side.

That takes the Reds four points clear of the relegation play-off spot and keeps Leicester rooted at the bottom.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 13:54 GMT 15 March

    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

Aston Villa made a mess of that. Instead of delivering the free-kick into the mixer, they play it short and run it out for a goalkick.

Game over. Points dropped for Manchester City.

Maybe the title race isn't over just yet?!

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 13:53 GMT 15 March

    Tottenham 1-2 Everton

    Everton have done it!

The Toffees have won four WSL games in a row. Who would have seen that coming a few months ago?

After Yuka Momiki's opener was cancelled out by Signe Gaupset, Everton substitutes combined as Kelly Gago converted from Inma Gabarro's low cross to win it.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

Aston Villa have a free-kick deep in City's half. This is surely going to be the last bit of action.

Can they make something of it?

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 13:51 GMT 15 March

    London City Lionesses 0-2 Arsenal

    That's it!

It's another win and another clean sheet for the Gunners.

Olivia Smith's early strike got Arsenal going, before Stina Blackstenius secured the three points from the bench.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

Sydney Lohmann lofts a ball into the box for Bunny Shaw to run onto but the ball fizzes the whole way through and nearly bends in at the far post. That was as close as City have come to a goal.

  17. Postpublished at 13:49 GMT 15 March

    Liverpool 2-0 Leicester

A hefty eight minutes of stoppage time at St Helens.

I don't think that's enough for Leicester though. They haven't really looked like scoring.

  18. Postpublished at 13:49 GMT 15 March

    Tottenham 1-2 Everton

    It's end-to-end stuff.

A Spurs free-kick finds Bethany England unmarked at the back post, but she can't get the right contact and Everton break.

The ball is played forward to Kelly Gago, but she takes too long and is crowded out. That was a great opportunity to wrap this one up.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:48 GMT 15 March

    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

Another change for Aston Villa, who are perhaps trying to eat away the minutes now.

Lucia Kendall makes way for Lucy Staniforth.
