    We did say it was likely to be an exciting afternoon, but that exceeded expectations.

    Don't let anyone tell you the league doesn't matter!

    There was late drama across the board in the promotion and relegation battles with the best most certainly saved for last as Division One produced the goods.

    In the end, it's a Division One final between Kerry and Donegal to look forward to, while Armagh breathe a sigh of relief as they remain in the top tier with Dublin dropping down.

    Derry missed out on promotion despite a win, while Cavan stay up in Division Two even though they lost - it was that sort of day.

    Armagh's Darragh McMullen, speaking to BBC Sport NI's Mark Sidebottom: "Listening to what he other results are, we'll take a draw but we could have got the win.

    "It's very important [to stay up] as you want to be playing at the top level every year.

    "Playing Kerry, hopefully we see them further down the line as they are the team to beat and the best team in the country.

    "It's a good challenge and sets us up for where we want to be in the summer."

    So, in the end everyone leaves the Athletic Grounds with big smiles as Armagh fans celebrate their survival and Kerry are through to the final where they will meet Donegal in a repeat of last year's All-Ireland final.
