Will Grigg (Number 9) heads in Chesterfield's equaliser at MK Dons

Chesterfield came from 2-0 down to draw at MK Dons after striker Will Grigg scored a dramatic equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Goals by Callum Paterson and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at the break.

But Chesterfield debutant Sam Curtis pulled one back for the visitors before Grigg's added-time goal salvaged a point for the Spireites.

The result pushes Chesterfield into the play-off places in seventh with MK Dons moving up to fifth before the 15:00 GMT kick-offs.

The home side took the lead in the 29th minute as Paterson scored from Aaron Nemane's cross.

Hepburn-Murphy doubled the lead in the 44th minute. The striker received Jon Mellish's pass, ran forward and then beat Zach Hemming with a strike from 25 yards.

The Spireites improved after the break and came close when Craig MacGillivray made a good save to deny Ronan Darcy.

Chesterfield reduced the deficit in the 67th minute when Curtis headed in Liam Mandeville's free-kick.

Hemming made a big save to keep out Mellish, which helped the visitors earn a point as in the final minute of stoppage time, Grigg headed in via the crossbar from a Mandeville corner.
